By now, the official narrative of January 6 has completely imploded—and Revolver News has been at the center of that unraveling.
While the media called it an “insurrection,” we exposed it for what it really was: a “fedsurrection.” A totally manipulated event, crawling with fed involvement, unanswered questions, and a phony threat to democracy used to justify a slew of political crackdowns and North Korea-style arrests. From the fedsurrection to the pipe bomb hoax, Revolver has been the tip of the spear in exposing the FBI’s role in one of the biggest domestic frauds of our time.
Loyal and longtime readers may recall that we began our very first major report exploring federal involvement in the January 6 Fedsurrection with a striking exchange between Senator Amy Klobuchar and Christopher Wray, in which Klobuchar asks the FBI director if he had any informants in place prior to January 6th.
Christopher Wray is able to uncomfortably weasel his way out of answering the question directly, partially because Klobuchar does him the courtesy of not asking him the question directly. Klobuchar instead asks the FBI director if he wishes he had infiltrated the militia organizations allegedly involved in 1/6—assuming from the outset that there was in fact no infiltration, thereby providing the FBI director an easy way to avoid addressing the question one way or another.
Early this afternoon, the Department of Justice finally released its long-suppressed Inspector General report on January 6th. The substance of the report, as well as the timing, helps to shed light on FBI Director Christopher Wray’s seemingly abrupt and premature decision to resign (announced yesterday). Indeed, while the report must be understood in essence as a limited hangout cover-up job released under great reluctance, what it does reveal is damning enough for Christopher Wray, the FBI, and the malicious and discredited Fedsurrection narrative as a whole.

DOJ Finally Releases Suppressed IG Report on Jan 6: Here’s What They’re Still Covering Up
Now, a new push from Senators Ron Johnson and Chuck Grassley is raising even more questions.
They’re demanding answers from the DOJ’s Inspector General on whether any unassigned or “untasked confidential human sources—not just from the FBI, but from any DOJ agency—were present in or around the Capitol on January 6.
Back in 2024, IG Michael Horowitz admitted that more than two dozen FBI informants were in the crowd that day, but only three were officially tasked with a job. One entered the Capitol building. The other two entered restricted areas around the building. All of them were paid by the FBI to be there—but according to Horowitz, they weren’t authorized to break the law or incite others.

Now, Fox News has released a new exclusive report that sheds even more light on January 6—and leaves the door wide open to the possibility that many more informants were running amok in the crowd that day.
EXCLUSIVE: Sens. Ron Johnson and Chuck Grassley are demanding information from the Justice Department’s inspector general on whether any unassigned or “untasked” confidential human sources (CHSs) from DOJ agencies beyond the FBI were in or around the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
In 2024, DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz revealed that there were more than two dozen FBI confidential human sources in the crowd outside the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, but only three were assigned by the bureau to be present for the event.
One of the three confidential human sources tasked by the FBI to attend the rally entered the Capitol building, while the other two entered the restricted area around the Capitol. If a confidential human source is directed to be at a certain event, they are paid by the FBI for their time.
Horowitz, in that report, said none of the sources were authorized or directed by the FBI to “break the law” or “encourage others to commit illegal acts.”
Now, thanks to this pressure from Senators Grassley and Johnson, we’re learning even more.
It appears that the DOJ’s Inspector General is now actively following up with federal agencies to determine whether any of their confidential human sources—officially tasked or not—were present in DC on January 6. That includes finding out whether employees or contractors from the FBI, ATF, DEA, US Marshals, or even the Bureau of Prisons were on the ground, possibly in plain clothes, and operating in any capacity whatsoever that day.
The response from the DOJ so far is very vague and carefully worded. The Fox News piece goes on:
Horowitz notified Grassley and Johnson that after conversations with their Senate staff on the matter, the DOJ inspector general’s office is inquiring those agencies further on whether they have any information to indicate whether any of their confidential human sources were in Washington, D.C., “on their own initiative (untasked) for the events on January 6.”
“We will supplement this response when we receive that information,” Horowitz wrote.
Grassley and Johnson, in a letter to Horowitz obtained exclusively by Fox News Digital, demanded Horowitz provide that information, saying his investigative work appeared to be “narrowly focused” on just the FBI’s use of CHSs, and said his response on “untasked CHSs from DOJ components other than the FBI” was “less definitive.”
Additionally, Grassley and Johnson are demanding further information on confidential human sources, noting that “the term ‘undercover agent’ can mean many things.”
Grassley and Johnson are now reiterating their request for information on whether “any federal law enforcement components, including FBI, ATF, DEA, USMS, or BOP had employees or contractors wearing civilian clothing in the Washington D.C. area; at the Capitol Building; and in restricted areas on J6 in an official or unofficial capacity.”
The sad part is this nightmare didn’t just start yesterday. The effort to twist January 6 into a weapon against the American people has been years in the making—and it’s far from over. But thanks to continued pressure from real leaders and relentless reporting from outlets like Revolver, the cracks in the narrative are widening.
The truth is there. It just needs to be forced into the light.
David Hogg’s anti-gun group misfires and collapses…
We’ve come this far because people kept asking the hard questions and refused to let it go. We have to keep that pressure on. The American people deserve answers—and it’s up to us to make sure they get them.
