Honestly, is there a bigger phony than Gavin Newsom? This guy is your stereotypical sleazy politician—he’ll lie through his veneers without batting a freshly blephed eye.

Gavin’s a swampy Snake Oil Salesman, and he’s told so many whoppers, he can’t even remember—let alone cover up—half of his own pathological lies.
It’s painfully obvious that Newsom’s got his eyes on the 2028 prize. He’s practically working overtime to rebrand his entire woke persona. His publicists have clearly gotten in his attention, probably telling him, “Hey Gavin, Dem voters might actually want you to stop behaving like a radical lunatic and try acting normal for once.”
That’s what the polling is telling Dems, sure—but that’s a tall order, considering no one on the left remembers what “normal” even looks like anymore. The whole party’s gone completely off the rails.

Gallup polling reveals that a growing number of Democrat voters (45% in 2025, up from 34% in 2021) want their party to pursue moderation.
But there’s a problem: Most Democrats want their party to either stay the same or become more liberal.
Gavin Newsom’s new podcast signals that some high level Democrats view moderation as the path to victory. They’re correct as far as the general election is concerned. But it’s unclear whether moderation is the right approach to win the nomination. As the Gallup polling shows, most Democrats are opposed to a shift toward the center.

And that’s exactly why pathological Gavin is now trying to rewrite history. After years of recklessly pushing the deranged, mentally ill trans movement, Gavin suddenly doesn’t think men should be in women’s sports. Lie, lie, lie. These people will say anything to sound reasonable. But nothing they say—or do—is genuine.
Just look at the infamous “Latinx” nonsense that spread like a virus across the left… until the Hispanic community got so fed up, Democrats quietly dropped it like a bad habit.

Now Gavin’s pretending he never used the term. That’s what he told Charlie Kirk when he appeared on his podcast.
But there’s just one problem with Gavin’s claim:
It’s not true.
And guess who called him out?
CNN of all people. Even they couldn’t carry his progressive water this time around.
Watch:
After telling me that no one in his office ever used the term Latinx, CNN put together a brutal compilation of Gov. Gavin Newsom personally and repeatedly using the phrase.

But it’s no wonder Snake Oil Salesman Gavin Newsom is now trying to lie and slither away from the cringeworthy “Latinx” nonsense. Turns out, Hispanics hated it—and weren’t exactly thrilled about white liberals twisting their language and traditions into a progressive pretzel.
The first time I heard that word, in the mid-2000s, I was teaching at a university in New York. I wasn’t quite sure I understood and laughed, thinking it was a joke. A colleague far more immersed in Latino issues than I was had used it offhandedly when we were chatting, and I had to ask him to explain it after I did a double take.
It soon became clear it was no joke. Latinx was becoming an official term on elite college campuses, popular among academics, progressives, young activists and LGBTQ groups who wanted gender-neutral terminology. (In Spanish words ending in “O” are masculine and those ending in “a” are feminine. When referring to a mixed-gender group, the plural word ends in the masculine “O,” so substituting that letter for “X” avoids preferencing the men.)
When I heard it, my first thought was that it wasn’t Spanish — but that it was pretentious. Many Latinos like myself see the ‘X’ as odd and off-putting because it doesn’t follow the traditional structure of Spanish, making it awkward and difficult to pronounce because in Spanish few words end with two consonants.
In fact, recent national surveys of Hispanics/Latinos show that the term Latinx is highly unpopular. Influential media and advocacy groups have started dropping the term or even arguing against its use to avoid offending those who dislike it. It might have been intended to be more inclusive, but it actually can feel exclusionary to everyday people.
At the end of the day, the Left has no message, no wins, and no popular issues—just masks. That’s why they’re all scrambling to rebrand themselves as “reasonable” and “moderate.” It’s the political version of that lizard meme—these swamp creatures are slipping on human skinsuits, hoping they can pass for something they think you’ll accept. But here’s the thing: Americans are done with the charades. We want authenticity—and that’s the one thing DC swamp rats will never be able to fake.
