The Wall Street Journal just dropped quite the little truth bomb: they spoke with 30 major US packaged food companies, and guess what their biggest fear is? Americans want to be healthy.
Not inflation. Not supply chain issues. Health.
That should scare the living daylights out of every single American, but it shouldn’t be a big shock, either.

RFK Jr. has been sounding the alarm for years. Big Food is poisoning you.
They pack your food with chemicals banned worldwide—yet U.S. shelves are still stocked with them.

Big Food is terrified of people waking up, reading labels, cutting sugar, skipping seed oils, and walking away from the ultra-processed slop that has been making this country fat, sick, and depressed for decades. Because once people stop eating the poison, the whole rotten system collapses—food giants lose profits, Big Pharma loses lifelong customers, and the medical industrial complex can’t cash in on treating symptoms they never intended to cure in the first place.

To make matters worse, the US government is subsidizing our demise—with our own tax dollars. We’re literally footing the bill for our slow poisoning.

The U.S. government is PAYING Big Food to poison you.
They subsidize toxic seed oils, GMO corn, and sugar, making junk food dirt cheap while real, organic food costs 3-4x more. This isn't "free market"—it's corporate capture of our food supply. @ericmmatheny @robertdunlap947 pic.twitter.com/EYXTgs3Jft

And here’s the really ironic part—food can be fuel and medicine. Real food can make you feel alive, energized, and good and maybe even cure what ails you. But when it’s treated like chemical sludge, it does the opposite. It drags us down. And that’s exactly where America is right now.

RFK Jr. has been warning about the US food health crisis with his “Make America Healthy Again” message. Because this isn’t just about bad food—it’s about a country set up to keep you sick and numb. It’s no coincidence that in Europe, food is cleaner, people walk more, socialize more, and live better. Meanwhile in the US, we treat our cars like mobile feeding pods, driving from one big box store to another, stuffing our faces with lab-created “snacks” made by companies that literally fear you wanting to be healthy.
And here’s the part that really says it all: these companies fully admit it would be easy-peasy to remove toxic food dyes from their products—because they already do it in Europe. Think about that: they know these additives are questionable at best, dangerous at worst, and yet they still pump them into products sold to American families. Not because they have to. But because they simply can.
Walk down your grocery aisle, and you’ll spot many foods containing ingredients you won’t find in Europe. The unusual way the U.S. regulates ingredients is in the news and the hot seat right now, thanks to the recent ban of a food additive—red dye 3, an artificial dye linked to cancer in animals—and the rise of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President Trump’s pick to lead the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). During his confirmation hearing on Jan. 30, Kennedy said that compared to Europe, the U.S. “looks at any new chemical as innocent until proven guilty.”
“It needs to end,” he said.
Here’s what to know about some of the most controversial food additives under the microscope and why additives are regulated differently in the U.S.
Key ingredients banned in Europe but allowed in the U.S.
Titanium dioxide is used to make foods and beverages whiter and brighter. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) considers it safe for human consumption, but it isn’t found in foods in Europe. In 2022, the European Food Safety Authority banned titanium dioxide, saying that after reviewing thousands of studies, it could no longer consider the additive safe because it has the potential to damage DNA or cause chromosomal damage.“A chemical that builds up in the body and could harm the immune and nervous systems should not be in candies and treats marketed to children,” says Melanie Benesh, vice president of governmental affairs at Environmental Working Group (EWG), which filed a petition to the FDA in 2023 asking it to ban titanium dioxide.
In the U.S., it’s still found in many confections, including Sour Patch Kids watermelon candies, Hostess chocolate cupcakes and Hostess powdered Donettes, Friendly’s cake singles birthday cake ice cream, Zweet sour belts, and Skittles.
This isn’t about affordability or logistics—it’s a calculated decision to cut corners and poison the population for sport and profit. These companies are deliberately choosing the cheaper, dirtier path for the US market, while offering cleaner, safer versions overseas. That tells you everything you need to know about how little they value the health of the average American—and why it’s considered a “threat” for you to care about what goes in your mouth.
If you’re fine eating garbage, these companies are more than happy to keep serving up trash.
This not a lifestyle—it’s a trap. And it’s time more Americans realized they’re living inside a system that profits off their decline.
We’re at the point now where, like an onion, the layers are just being peeled back—one by one—exposing the ugly truth: Americans are being systematically poisoned by a food industry whose main goal is to keep its customers as unhealthy as humanly possible.
And they’re now admitting it.
If that doesn’t scream why we need MAHA, nothing will.
