Well, well, well—looks like Revolver was right again. While other conservative outlets turned a blind eye to NewsGuard or, some even played along with their “media literacy” scam, we were out in front, boldly calling them out for exactly what they were—a tool of the regime, designed to blacklist and silence conservative media under the phony guise of fact-checking.

So, how were we right? Well, as we speak, Microsoft, one of their biggest backers, is now scrambling to distance itself from the fake fact-checking group. Also, this probably won’t come as a shock, but the infamous USAID was also backing NewsGuard.

ZeroHedge:

Microsoft has dropped NewsGuard, a left-wing fact checking organization they partnered with that has helped the advertising industry justify blacklists for independent conservative media sites such as ZeroHedge.

The move came after Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) began investigating Microsoft for funding the online “media literacy” censorship tool created by NewsGuard to help guide “learners of all ages through the overwhelming landscape of online news and information.”

Now we come to find out that NewsGuard was funded by USAID…

Here’s a closeup of the images Mr. Sharp shared:

Microsoft is now in panic mode. So much so, they’re even pretending their support was just a one-time thing back in 2018. The ZeroHedge piece goes on:

In response to Cruz, Microsoft claims their support of NewsGuard was limited to a one-time donation in 2018, and said it had asked NewsGuard to remove a claim on its website that read “NewsGuard’s Media Literacy Programs are made possible thanks to generous support from Microsoft,” Newsmax reports, citing a Senate Commerce Committee spokesperson.

Sure. More lies.

Because if that’s the case, why did NewsGuard only just now erase Microsoft’s name from their website? Honestly, the timing tells you everything you need to know.

But it’s no wonder that Microsoft is running for their lives. After all, it was NewsGuard’s job to silence and throttle some of the most popular right-wing sites in America. They would contact advertisers and advise them on “brand safety.” In other words, telling companies to dump popular sites so they could squash political dissent.

Allum Bokhari:

Omnicom Group is all-in on internet censorship.

Along with Publicis and IPG, Omnicom is partnered with NewsGuard, which maintains a blacklist of disfavored websites.

Sites on the blacklist are considered “brand unsafe” and ripe targets for financial throttling / ad boycotts.

You may recognize some familiar websites on NewsGuard’s blacklist.

Including Tucker Carlson!

According to NewsGuard, it’s “brand safe” to pull your client’s ads from the second-most popular podcast in America.

I’m sure that’s completely objective and not politically motivated at all /s

The truth is, NewsGuard was never about trust or transparency—it was about control. From the beginning, we exposed how their so-called “nutrition labels” were just a weapon to discredit conservative outlets while propping up regime-approved propaganda.

NewsGuard was so rattled by our reporting—especially on the “Color Revolution”—that they lashed out with a follow-up hit piece.

Take a look:

Revolver.news does not disclose its ownership, and NewsGuard could not determine who owns or runs it.

The website does not operate its own social media channels, but its content is regularly promoted by conservative Twitter accounts with large followings, including the account of conservative commentator Michelle Malkin, which has 2.2 million followers; The Columbia Bugle, which has 162,000 followers; and the account of former Trump administration speechwriter Darren Beattie, which has 33,000 followers.

Beattie has heavily promoted articles from the site, and in a September 2020 tweet, wrote, “That’s http://revolver.news —the new Drudge Report. Bookmark it and share with all of your friends. From Color Revolution to Covid, Revolver News will give you the cutting edge research and analysis combined with top of the line news aggregation.” In a September 2020 interview with Beattie, Fox News host Tucker Carlson introduced Beattie by stating he “works now with Revolver News.”

We dug into NewsGuard’s shady ties, from its deep-pocketed investors with Big Pharma interests to its cozy relationship with the American Federation of Teachers, pushing its censorship tool into public libraries and schools.

Revolver:

Newguard’s special concern for policing Covid information might have something to do with the fact that its third largest investor is a multi-billion dollar global communications company called Publicis Group. An excellent investigative report on Newsguard conducted by MintPress News revealed not only Publicis’ shadowy ties to the government of Saudi Arabia, but the fact that pharmaceutical giants Pfizer and Bayer/Monsanto are some of Publicis’ top clients.

Newsguard, the company that charges clients to vet their news for them, conveniently fails to disclose this conflict of interest in its evaluation of news that could directly affect the profits of said pharmaceutical companies.

Newsguard’s special selling point is that they employ actual journalists to decide whether a website is appropriate for you to look at or not, rather than outsourcing this critical censorious task to AI algorithms.

Given that journalist coverage of the Trump administration was 92 percent negative, and that 96 percent of journalist donations went to Hillary over Trump 2016, we might be forgiven a dose of healthy skepticism that Newsguard is truly interested in providing fair and neutral assessments of news sites.

Back in August of 2020, assiduous hall-monitoring in defense of Regime-mandated narratives actually earned Newsguard a coveted prize from the Pentagon and State Department for combating “Covid disinformation,” which only demonstrates that Big Tech, corporate media, Big Pharma, and the military-industrial complex all comprise one gigantic incestuous cesspit.

We also called out the Deep State players who were behind NewsGuard. The Revolver piece goes on:

Michael Hayden: former head of the NSA head and architect of national electronic surveillance system on US citizens, who went on to lie about the existence of said system (or at least engaged in vigorous deception) about it to Congress. After whistleblower Edward Snowden famously exposed the existence of illegal NSA surveillance on US citizens, Hayden revealed his attitude toward truth telling by (jokingly?) calling for Snowden’s assassination. In addition to heading the NSA, Hayden also headed the CIA—an organization renowned for its respect for truth. Hayden’s name appears hundreds of times in the Senate’s scathing 2014 report on CIA torture methods. Charming fellow.

Arne Duncan: former Secretary of Education for President Obama. In his capacity as Secretary of Education, Duncan is perhaps best known for his defense of “safe schools czar” Kevin Jennings. Jennings came under fire when it was revealed that, as a school teacher, Jennings refused disclose to authorities his knowledge that a 15 year old student was having an illegal sexual relationship with an adult. A Washington Times report revealed that Jennings was also involved in promoting a reading list for children 13 years old or older that made the most explicit sex between children and adults seem normal and acceptable, and also praised Harry Hay, supporter of the notorious North American Man Boy Love Association. When these controversies were brought to light, Arne Duncan responded that Jennings was “uniquely qualified for his job” and that he was ” honored to have him on our team.” We wonder what it is about Mr. Duncan, then, that makes him uniquely qualified to advise a company like Newsguard, which is responsible for assigning Orwellian nutrition labels to news websites.

Hayden and Duncan only scratch the surface when it comes to the list of censors and moral scolds advising Newsguard on which websites they deem suitable for consumption. Newsguard also features on its advisory board a man named Richard Stengel. Stengel is a former senior official in Obama’s state department who once described his role as being that of “chief propagandist”:

Also, fun fact: Obama’s propaganda artist, Richard Stengel, happily admitted his dislike for Fox News. But his biggest problem was that NewsGuard couldn’t slap them with one of their infamous “red marks” without making it obvious they were nothing more than a biased, weaponized tool for the regime.

This is exactly the kind of information Revolver has been exposing for years now. This piece on NewsGuard came out three years ago, before they were on anybody’s radar. But, from the start, we knew NewsGuard wasn’t about media literacy—it was just another cog in the left’s massive censorship machine.

READ MORE: LOOK: The media wants Trump dead—and they’re not even hiding it…

But that’s what you’ve come to expect from Revolver—ahead of the curve reporting and calling out the bad guys by name. That’s how we’ve successfully helped topple some of the left’s biggest plots, like the “Fedsurrection,” DEI, and the entire disinformation campaign. And let’s not forget, even President Trump himself has praised Revolver for always being ahead of the curve, covering the stories others are too scared to touch.

Speaking of being ahead of the curve—long before Elon Musk bought Twitter, we were already exposing the censorship goons working behind the scenes to take him down. This piece hit so hard, it sent outfits like NewsGuard into a full-blown meltdown. They were so rattled by how on-point we were that they actually convinced themselves Elon was secretly working with Revolver to close his big deal.

Nope, that wasn’t the case—we just call it like we see it, shine a light on the bad guys, and give out damn good advice.

Revolver:

Of all the regime scribblers and scribes flooding the internet with glorified blog posts on the awfulness of Elon Musk’s Twitter bid, a piece by Renée DiResta published in the Atlantic stands out from the rest — not because of its force of argument, but because of the largely forgotten scandal behind its author.

Like the now disgraced and jobless Nina Jankowicz, DiResta is a career-girl of the Disinformation Industry — a constellation of NATO and US State Department-funded NGOs and civil society groups that censor inconvenient truths, facts and narratives under the guise of protecting the public from so-called “disinformation.” And like Nina Jankowicz, it turns out that DiResta’s name is closely associated with one of the most explosive and aggressively covered-up influence operations of the century.

With that teaser in place, let’s start at the beginning with DiResta’s piece on Musk and Twitter. We invite the impatient reader to scroll down to DiResta’s scandal — but it’s worth the wait for those with more patience.

Like most well-trained operatives of the disinformation industry, Renée is smart enough to couch her defense of Twitter’s censorship in layers of obfuscatory verbiage and heavily qualified lip service to the importance of free-expression. We should remember that even the Department of Homeland Security assured us in a hilarious “fact sheet” that its ill-fated Disinformation Governance Board is set up to defend free speech.

But anything more than a cursory look at Diresta’s “concerned” reaction to Musk and his cadre of “free-speech absolutists” completely betrays her true agenda. Here she is scribbling away in The Atlantic:

The idea of Twitter as the “global town square” was articulated by then-CEO Dick Costolo in 2013. He likened it to something from ancient Athens:

Thousands of years ago in the Greek Agora, that’s where you went to find out what was going on and talk about it, right? You came and talked about what was going on in your part of the village, and I came and talked about what was going on in mine, and the politician was there, and we listened to the issues of the day, and a musician was there and a preacher was there, et cetera, and it was multidirectional and it was unfiltered, and it was inside out, meaning the news was coming from the people it was happening to, not some observer.

The unintended consequences of the platform that Jack Dorsey and his co-founders built, however, came into rather stark relief as it grew; a variety of unfortunate things that happen when humans engage with humans happened. On Twitter, however, these problems reached unprecedented heights via unfettered virality and velocity. The Islamic State made a home on the platform; harassment mobs proliferated; state actors and conspiracy theorists alike recognized that Twitter was a remarkable venue for propagandizing, unmediated, to millions. Public opinion began to shift against the hands-off approach. Government regulators began to pay attention.

How could the company maximize freedom of expression while minimizing the unique harms that the new communication infrastructure had enabled? A content-moderation regime emerged. Over the next seven years, its rules and practices would evolve in response to new and novel challenges: taking down terrorist propaganda, minimizing bad information during a pandemic, handling a litany of rumors and lies about election theft.

This piece might be three years old, but it holds up perfectly—showing exactly how the left’s so-called “fact-checkers” were operating both in the open and behind the scenes to silence dissent. You can read the entire piece by clicking below:

We were also among the first to call out Biden’s so-called “Disinformation Queen,” Nina Jankowicz. Remember her? The Harry Potter-loving, Mary Poppins wannabe of Deep State censorship—who somehow insisted the Deep State didn’t actually exist.

Revolver:

As Revolver and others have covered, Nina “Moaning Myrtle” Jankowicz is a joke. The Harry Potter superfan-turned-propagandrix is now the Biden Administration’s chosen head for the “Disinformation Governance Board.” Among many other embarrassing videos in circulation is the following clip of Nina Jankowicz bizarrely and emphatically dismissing the notion of the so-called “deep state.”

Whatever one thinks of the precise term “deep state,” Nina badly wants everyone to dismiss the very concept of secret groups operating within Washington. She works “with and around” them after all, and she says such a cabal or network of cabals does not exist.

In fact, Nina does know the truth, and it’s the opposite of what she claims above. Nina’s name appeared in one of the most explosive and aggressively censored national security leaks of the century. The leak in question exposed the “Integrity Initiative,” a dark government-funded NGO that appears to have engaged in political meddling and covert influence operations in Western countries under the guise of fighting “disinformation.”

This Revolver piece was written three years ago, but it still stands the test of time today. You can read the entire piece by clicking here:

Our work—and our track record—has been praised by many. It’s not that we’re swamis; we just have a deep understanding of the key players and how their control apparatus operates.

This is a powerful roundup of influential voices praising Revolver for our hard work. President Trump’s comments start at the 2:53 mark, but the whole video is worth watching.

While the rest of the media played catch-up pertaining to NewsGuard and other hot issues, we were already shining a light on the truth. And as always, in the end, the truth won.
