President Trump leads the pace lap at the Daytona 500

DAYTONA, FL.– The crowd cheered at Daytona International Speedway as President Trump made his way over the track in Air Force One, ahead of the Daytona 500 on Sunday. The president landed at Daytona International Airport before making his way to the track for the Great American Race. This is the presidents second time attending the Daytona 500, he first attended in 2020. Cheers were heard on the broadcast as fans and drivers watched the plane fly over the track. Trump participated in the pace lap before chatting with NASCAR drivers, including Richard Petty. The president thanked U.S. military members for their service and was in attendance for the singing of the national anthem. Earlier this month, President Trump became the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl.
