Well, folks, just when you thought the immigration debate couldn’t get any spicier, another nightmare program takes center stage. Forget the drama around H-1B visas or student visa scams—turns out there’s an even bigger culprit lurking in the shadows. Meet OPT, the granddaddy of them all, and trust me, every American needs to know how this scam operates.

Here at Revolver, we’ve been tackling the immigration issue from every possible angle. Recently, we uncovered how the student visa program operates as a massive, rigged scam—one that not only funnels money into “woke” universities but also steals job opportunities from hardworking Americans. And now, with OPT entering the spotlight, the stakes have skyrocketed even further.

While the right has been laser-focused on the H-1B visa disaster—thanks to an online clash between MAGA, Elon Musk, and Vivek Ramaswamy—another, maybe more insidious issue has been festering right under our noses: the widespread exploitation of student visas.

Each year, the US issues about half a million student visas, creating a tsunami of cash for progressive, Marxist universities that brainwash young people with twisted woke ideologies.

The truth is, many of these woke Marxist institutions would struggle to keep their doors open without this steady flow of mediocre foreign students.

In other words, the foreign student visa program is funding our nation’s demise.

The F-1 student visa program, intended for education, has morphed into a system that actively hurts American college grads. Some shady schools exploit the system by offering minimal or no real education, letting foreign students qualify for the government’s Optional Practical Training (OPT) program. OPT allows these students to work full-time jobs under the guise of being “students,” giving employers massive tax breaks—up to $12,000 per worker—for hiring them over equally or more qualified Americans. See how this works? It’s all tied together.

And this cycle creates an unfair advantage for foreign grads, costs Social Security and Medicare well over a billion dollars each year, and also serves as a backdoor pipeline to H-1B visas, leaving American grads at the bottom of the priority list.

Now it’s time to dig into one of the most sinister programs out there: OPT. Brace yourselves, because this is where things get seriously anti-American—and downright ugly.

US Tech Workers:

You thought the H-1B visa was bad? Wait until you hear about the largest guest worker program killing jobs for new American college grads—the Optional Practical Training (OPT):

• No caps
• Employers get payroll tax exemptions
• No wage requirements

OPT was originally a 1-year work permit for international students graduating from U.S. colleges to gain U.S. work experience to take back to their home countries. It was never meant as a permanent immigration pathway, but rather a short-term opportunity for skill development

What began as a “short-term” program has morphed into a full-blown weapon against American jobs—just the way the globalists (looking at you, Bill Gates) planned it.

OPT was originally a 1-year work permit for international students graduating from U.S. colleges to gain U.S. work experience to take back to their home countries. It was never meant as a permanent immigration pathway, but rather a short-term opportunity for skill development

In 2008, Bill Gates lobbied Congress to expand H-1B caps, claiming a tech worker shortage. However, there was significant pushback and it was pointed out that Microsoft was laying off U.S. workers while simultaneously advocating for more foreign labor.

When Bill Gates couldn’t get his H-1B dreams to materialize, he called in favors from his high-powered buddies to rework the system in his favor.

After Bill Gates failed to get Congress to pass an immigration bill expanding H-1B visas, he enlisted lobbyist Jack Krumholtz to devise a plan using the OPT program to bypass the H-1B caps.

At a cocktail party, lobbyist Jack Krumholtz met then-DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff under George W. Bush and pitched his proposal to expand the OPT program. He suggested extending its duration beyond 1 year, effectively creating a workaround for H-1B visa caps.

Bill’s plan worked, and OPT became a lethal US job-killing weapon.

In the months after Krumholtz’s meeting with Chertoff, universities and the Chamber of Commerce launched a massive lobbying push to extend OPT. Their efforts succeeded! Through administrative regulations, they effectively created a new guest worker program without needing congressional approval.

The new OPT program, called STEM-OPT, allowed international students with STEM degrees to extend their OPT from 1 year to 29 months. This extension gave them more time to work in the U.S. and provided employers with a new pipeline for cheaper compliant labor.

You can now see how OPT and the rigged “student visa” program play off one another.

After STEM-OPT was introduced, the number of international students, particularly from India and China, skyrocketed. Universities actively advertised STEM-OPT to attract these students, seeing them as a lucrative source of revenue.

Some universities, like UC Berkeley, began designating degrees like Journalism as “STEM” to capitalize on the lucrative STEM-OPT wave. This allowed them to attract more international students, tapping into a profitable market while offering extended work permits as an incentive.

In no time flat, OPT soared.

The number of STEM-OPT work permits skyrocketed, making it the largest guest worker program in the U.S. It now surpasses the H-1B visa program in yearly issuance.

What makes the OPT program so dark and insidious is the complete lack of wage rules—employers can pay OPT workers next to nothing or even exploit them as “unpaid interns.” And to make matters worse, the government sweetens the pot by offering payroll tax breaks to employers who hire foreign grads over American workers.

See how the system’s rigged? Now you get why foreign workers have become the “golden children” for American business owners.

In other words, it literally pays to avoid hiring Americans. The very US-based companies we’re supposed to celebrate for their “innovation” and “American spirit”—looking at you, Microsoft—are actively selling us out. And the worst part? We’re the ones watering the tree that’s growing to choke us.
