Female teacher 'began sleeping with boy when he was 11 and had his baby when he was 13'
A New Jersey elementary school teacher has been accused of sexually assaulting one of her students for four years and having his baby.
Laura Caron, 34, a fifth-grade teacher, met her victim when she taught him and his brother at Middle Township Elementary School #2.
The parents of the victim said the family had became friends with Caron over the years and soon allowed both their sons as well as their daughter to live with her for one to two nights a week.
But sometime in 2016 - when the victim was 11 - the trio moved in full time to her Cape May Court House.
The crimes allegedly began in the same year and lasted until 2020.
According to the criminal complaint lodged by the victim's sister, the group would initially sleep in a shared room on the second floor.
However, she reportedly soon began noticing the victim would be in Caron's bed the next morning.
She also reportedly told officers when her brother would shower, the accused would enter the bathroom and lock the door.

The victim's other brother further told cops that he had once seen the suspect sexually assaulting his brother.
The young boy has allegedly admitted to being the father of Caron's five-year-old child and requested that it be kept a secret in texts to his sister, according to 6ABC.
Officials claim that their baby was born when the victim himself was 13 years old and Caron was 28 years old in 2019.
During a police interview with the victim, he confirmed he had a sexual relationship Caron and the child was his own.
The crimes came to light in December 2024 when the victim's father made a social media post about the child looking very similar to him and his son, according to investigators.
Caron is being held at the Cape May County Correctional Center.

Prosecutors further confirmed that the Middle Township School District was notified of the investigation and is currently cooperating with law enforcement
She has been charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.
'I want to personally assure the parents of Middle Township that we are taking every step possible to ensure the safety of our children.
'Our department is working closely with the Prosecutor's Office to ensure that every aspect of this case is thoroughly investigated,' Middle Township Police Chief Tracey Super said in a statement.

'We will work tirelessly to ensure justice is served and to support the victim and their family throughout this process.'
Middle Township School District Superintendent Dr. David Salvo confirmed in an emailed statement to CBS that Caron 'was immediately placed on and continues to be on paid administrative leave'.
