You know what they say: the harder the Deep State and uniparty fight against you, the better. It means you’re a real threat to their corrupt schemes, which is exactly why we need Pete Hegseth in the mix. President Trump’s nomination of Pete for Secretary of Defense—a role that could finally put the kibosh on the Deep State’s endless war agenda—has them scrambling like never before.

It’s been an absolute bloodbath so far. Pete’s been dragged through the mud, with shameless hacks at The New York Times even publishing private emails from Pete’s mother, for crying out loud. This is straight out of the left’s playbook—the political smear campaign from hell. They’re using anonymous sources and baseless rumors to paint Pete as a disaster candidate, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth.

This is how the left and the uniparty fight when they’re cornered.

Greg Price:

The smears against @PeteHegseth are downright pathetic when you think about them for more than two seconds:

– A sexual assault allegation for which he was never charged because police determined the woman’s story to not be credible.
– Claims from anonymous sources that he sometimes, occasionally, every so often, drinks alcohol.

All of it is a joke and it’s happening because he serves as a threat to one of the most powerful interest groups in Washington DC: The multi-trillion dollar defense lobby.

The attacks we’re seeing against Pete are a textbook example of the “wrap-up smear” strategy that alleged drunkard Nancy Pelosi has perfected.

Benny Johnson:

Never forget when Nancy Pelosi revealed the Democrat Party’s entire playbook:

‘The Wrap Up Smear’

“You smear somebody with falsehoods and all the rest and then you merchandise it and then you write it and they’ll say, see, it’s reported in the press that this, this, this and this, so they have that validation that the press reported the smear and then it’s called a wrap-up smear. Now I am going to merchandise the press’ report on the smear that we made. It’s a tactic”

The good news is that the tide is turning against the uniparty. Pete had a phenomenal day with some one-on-one Senate meetings and an absolute barn burner of an interview with Megyn Kelly. Suddenly, he’s back in the game with a new momentum. The next 48 hours will be critical, but for now, Pete is changing the narrative—and the uniparty knows it, so Lord only knows what they’ll throw at him next.

Dustin Grage:

It was a very good day for Pete Hegseth. My sources sounded deflated to start the day, but today’s senate meetings, the Pen Hegseth, and @megynkelly interviews went very well. New life has been shot into the campaign to confirm Pete. The next 24 to 48 hours will be critical.

What they’re doing to Pete Hegseth comes right out of the same playbook they used against Justice Kavanaugh. The difference this time is that the uniparty has joined forces with the left to make sure this anti-war, America First patriot doesn’t stand a chance. You won’t catch someone like Mitch McConnell standing up for Pete Hegseth the way he did for Kavanaugh—not in a million years. If we had to guess, uniparty puppets like Mitch (and his buddy Lindsey Graham) are probably working overtime behind the scenes to sabotage Hegseth’s confirmation.

Pete talked about all of this with Megyn Kelly in an interview that many are calling the “breakthrough” he needed.

Johnny Maga:

Megyn Kelly: “Do you think you’re being Kavanaughed?”

Hegseth: “I had a member not 45 minutes ago, look me in the eye and say ‘That’s what they’re trying to do to you… that’s their playbook. Get ready for more. And they’re going to make it up, just like they have so far… because you’re a threat to them. You’re a threat to their system.’”

And speaking of Megyn, she dropped one doozy of a post on X, calling out this “political hit” on Hegseth, and she brings up a couple of really good points.

Megyn Kelly:

The @PeteHegseth nomination has been endangered entirely by anonymous sources. We have zero idea about the credibility of these sources since every single mud-slinger has remained (& been allowed to remain) unnamed. [Btw these same media refused to report on the Doug Emhoff accuser bc she was “anonymous” in the Daily Mail.] Meanwhile dozens of on the record character references have been offered (along with point by point disputes of the allegs) by Medal of Honor recipients, decorated war heroes, his Fox colleagues and those who worked w/Pete at his vets charities. How can a nomination as important as this be thwarted by entirely anonymous accusations? Where is the fairness/due process? The media ran with the clearly bogus rape charge story w/o offering virtually any of the exonerating facts. Now they ask us to believe them about these other character smears. Why should we? The infidelity – that’s admitted. Drinking upon his return from combat tours – that too. Nothing else here has been confirmed, verified, or substantiated with any evidence. The only fair Q for these Senators is: are a man’s prior marital troubles and a few nights seen drunk at bars years ago after returning from combat enough to sink a nomination? These are the only fair character Qs.

Mike Davis saw what Megyn said and added another good point. President Trump doesn’t pick the Senate staffers; why on earth should they pick his? We the people sent Trump with a massive mandate back to the White House. We don’t want “status quo.” We want things to change, so why are these Republican senators standing in our way?

Mike Davis:

Senate Republicans must vote to confirm all of President Trump’s qualified Cabinet picks.

Even if they have personality or policy disagreements.

Pete Hegseth–an Ivy League educated, war-fighting, Bronze Star-winning Army officer–is unquestionably qualified to lead the Pentagon.

Those claiming he is disqualified because of personal misconduct have the heavy burden of coming forward with clear and convincing evidence.

Anonymous leaks don’t cut it.

And we got rid of the #MeToo presumption of guilt with Justice Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

(You’re welcome, America, from me.)

Put up or shut up.

Trump doesn’t pick senators’ staff.

They shouldn’t pick his.

One thing is crystal clear, folks: Pete Hegseth knows exactly what’s going on and what he’s up against. Right now, he’s at war (pun intended) with the entire military-industrial complex, and they’re pulling out all the stops to take him down—throwing everything, including the kitchen sink, at him. But Pete’s not backing down, and neither should we. It’s absolutely critical that we stand with Pete and President Trump to make sure his confirmation as Secretary of Defense is successful.
