There’s an immigration war brewing within MAGA, and this time, it’s not about the border. The battle is over H-1B visas and foreign workers, unfolding between two of MAGA’s strongest new allies: Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk. Both are tech powerhouses, but their ideas on this issue are stuck in an outdated, America-Last mindset, sparking some serious friction. Elon and Vivek, great in so many ways and undeniably forces for good, could clearly use some guidance on this critical issue.

Enter Stephen Miller, Trump’s unwavering America First advocate, with a thinly veiled warning to the America-Last tech faction—one that could potentially pave the way for better understanding and positive outcomes.

Miller shared a clip from President Trump’s 2020 Mt. Rushmore speech, adding his own emphasis to drive the point home.

Stephen Miller:

Transcript of President Trump speaking at Mt. Rushmore, on the eve of Independence Day, 2020:

“Above all, our children, from every community, must be taught that to be American is to inherit the spirit of the most adventurous and confident people ever to walk the face of the Earth.

Americans are the people who pursued our Manifest Destiny across the ocean, into the uncharted wilderness, over the tallest mountains, and then into the skies and even into the stars.

We are the country of Andrew Jackson, Ulysses S. Grant, and Frederick Douglass. We are the land of Wild Bill Hickock and Buffalo Bill Cody. (Applause.) We are the nation that gave rise to the Wright Brothers, the Tuskegee Airmen — (applause) — Harriet Tubman, Clara Barton, Jesse Owens, George Patton — General George Patton — the great Louie Armstrong, Alan Shepard, Elvis Presley, and Mohammad Ali. (Applause.) And only America could have produced them all. (Applause.) No other place.

We are the culture that put up the Hoover Dam, laid down the highways, and sculpted the skyline of Manhattan. We are the people who dreamed a spectacular dream — it was called: Las Vegas, in the Nevada desert; who built up Miami from the Florida marsh; and who carved our heroes into the face of Mount Rushmore. (Applause.)

Americans harnessed electricity, split the atom, and gave the world the telephone and the Internet. We settled the Wild West, won two World Wars, landed American astronauts on the Moon — and one day very soon, we will plant our flag on Mars.

We gave the world the poetry of Walt Whitman, the stories of Mark Twain, the songs of Irving Berlin, the voice of Ella Fitzgerald, the style of Frank Sinatra — (applause) — the comedy of Bob Hope, the power of the Saturn V rocket, the toughness of the Ford F-150 — (applause) — and the awesome might of the American aircraft carriers.

Americans must never lose sight of this miraculous story.”

We’ve been on top of this issue from the start. While we deeply appreciate everything Elon Musk has accomplished, we’re not blind to his shortcomings on immigration—and we’re not afraid to call them out. The real challenge lies in addressing these issues in a way that fosters growth and meaningful change for our movement, without fueling chaos or division.

Revolver:

We all know Elon Musk is one of the smartest and most innovative minds of our time. He’s a true renaissance man, and the list of ways he’s improved the world feels almost endless. From revolutionizing the auto industry with Tesla to his groundbreaking ventures in space and technology, Musk has been a force for good. And let’s not forget his game-changing purchase of Twitter and unwavering support of President Trump, which likely helped steer the US away from total collapse. Elon didn’t just talk the talk—he put his name, reputation, and money on the line when it mattered most, and for that, we are forever grateful.

That said, even visionaries make mistakes. After all, they’re human, too. The concern many have right now stems from a rumor suggesting that Tesla is “hiding” job listings in print newspapers, where nobody is going to see them, so Tesla can legally qualify to hire their visa H-1B employees quickly, in some hope of getting ahead of any restrictions that might come under Trump’s America First administration. Again, as we stated, Elon has been a staunch advocate for innovation and excellence, so this move, if true, would raise many concerns about the impact on American workers and the broader message it sends.

It’s no secret that Elon Musk is a big fan of the H-1B program, which puts him at odds with the core principles of the America First movement. Don’t get us wrong—we’re incredibly grateful for everything Elon has done to support Trump and fight for free speech. He’s made some amazing contributions, and we’re not taking anything away from that. But we can’t just gloss over the fact that hiring foreign workers over Americans is a real issue. To ignore it would fly in the face of everything America First stands for.

The fire started when Amanda Louise, an America First advocate, called out Musk and Tesla when she happened upon several job listings for the company in a newspaper. She suggested that Elon was “hiding” these jobs from Americans, so they could hire more foreign workers. When reporter Neil Munro saw the post, he described the situation as a “dilemma” for the media. Sure, if true, they could take a shot at Musk and Trump for a “contradiction,” but to do so, they’d also have to acknowledge that the outsourcing conservatives have been warning about is, in fact, a real issue.

Did Tesla hide job listings in newspapers so they can hire H-1B visa workers?

Meanwhile, the left-wing media is gleefully feasting on the in-fighting.

Rolling Stone:

Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, who will soon head President-elect Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, have repeatedly demonized undocumented immigrants. In recent days, though, Musk and Ramaswamy have both argued Big Tech firms desperately need foreign workers – generating controversy among the MAGA base.

Both Musk and Ramaswamy appeared to be expressing support for H-1B visas for high-skilled workers. These visas have often been criticized by the left and right for allowing companies to rely on cheaper foreign labor. Companies also maintain significant control over such workers; it’s difficult for them to switch jobs, and if they lose their jobs, they can be forced to leave the country.

Musk took to his social media site, X, on Wednesday to argue that Silicon Valley firms need foreign workers because there aren’t enough “super motivated” and “super talented engineers” in America. His statements quickly drew criticism from conservatives who support Trump’s draconian immigration policies.

“The number of people who are super talented engineers AND super motivated in the USA is far too low,” Musk wrote. “Think of this like a pro sports team: if you want your TEAM to win the championship, you need to recruit top talent wherever they may be. That enables the whole TEAM to win.”

Clearly, Elon and Vivek need a much deeper grasp of America First principles, particularly when it comes to immigration. This issue isn’t just about open borders—it’s far more nuanced and layered. As the Rolling Stone piece points out:

The comments incensed Trump ally Laura Loomer, who wrote that Musk only “bought [his] way into MAGA 5 minutes ago.” She said Musk and his “Big Tech buddies” are trying to “infiltrate” the Trump White House despite opposing “MAGA immigration policy.” Loomer added: “You’re still not our President. The real President knows H1B visas are bad for America and the real President is from this country.” (Two of Trump’s three wives were born outside of the U.S., and his firms have used H1-B visas in the past.)

One X user wrote to Musk: “There are over 330 million people in America. Surely, there must be enough among them to build your ultimate team? Why would you deny real Americans that opportunity by bringing foreigners here?” Another user replied to him, before their account was suspended: “My son graduated with honors with electrical and computer engineering degrees in 2023. He can not get an interview, let alone a job.”

Ramaswamy further argued on Thursday that tech firms need foreign workers because Americans don’t have a good enough work ethic – blaming the culture.

“The reason top tech companies often hire foreign-born & first-generation engineers over ‘native’ Americans isn’t because of an innate American IQ deficit (a lazy & wrong explanation). A key part of it comes down to the c-word: culture,” wrote Ramaswamy.

He continued: “A culture that celebrates the prom queen over the math olympiad champ, or the jock over the valedictorian, will not produce the best engineers.” Trump’s presidency, he hopes, will mark an end to American culture valorizing “hard work over laziness.”

Right-wing commentator Mike Cernovich replied to Ramaswamy, “The Woodstock generation managed to build out aerospace, the one before went to the moon, America was doing great. Underlying your post is that we were all living in squalor until being rescued by H-1B’s. Then why did everyone want to come here?”

Passions run high when it comes to immigration, and we get it. The H-1B issue is a significant piece of the immigration puzzle, and it’s one that absolutely demands attention and action. A course correction is long overdue—especially from key MAGA leaders who seem out of sync with the America First principles that grassroots supporters have championed from the very beginning.

That said, resorting to emotional, mob-style attacks straight out of the liberal playbook isn’t the solution. Real change comes from focusing on facts and staying true to the spirit of America First. It’s a far more effective way to win hearts and minds and bring others over to our side.

In closing, we’d like to share a post that exemplifies the kind of productive, unifying message capable of driving real change—without feeding the chaos and division the Deep State is counting on.
