The Deep State is on the ropes. Heading into this landslide victory, they likely rested easy, assuming President Trump’s new administration would be packed with RINOs, just like last time. But they’re quickly realizing that’s not the case. What’s really sent them spiraling is Trump’s nomination of Matt Gaetz for Attorney General. We haven’t seen a full-blown meltdown like this since 2016.

We recently published a piece outlining in great detail why Gaetz is the only man who can drain the swamp and make the DOJ great again.
This indispensable mission requires an indispensable man, and last week Donald Trump selected the only man in the country truly equipped to lead and reform the Department of Justice in the manner our nation requires—Congressman Matt Gaetz. It could, truthfully, be no one else. No one better combines utter loyalty to Trump and the MAGA movement, exceptional legal expertise, and demonstrated bravery for the difficult task ahead.
Need proof? Sure, we could cite Gaetz’s steadfast support for secure borders, his consistent opposition to idiotic foreign wars, or his stalwart stand against the Russia hoax. But the best proof of all is this: other than Trump himself, nobody in Washington has faced a more concerted effort to force him out than Matt Gaetz.
Three and a half years ago, shortly after Biden took office, the DOJ hijacked the headlines with a shocking report that Gaetz was under criminal investigation. Three and a half years later, ask yourself: Was Gaetz ever convicted of anything? Was he even charged with anything?
And yet, at the time, Washington screamed for Gaetz to resign. To them, the false accusation alone was enough.

Swamp’s Worst Nightmare: How AG Matt Gaetz Can Make the DOJ Great Again
And it’s no wonder they’re terrified—Gaetz is Trump’s secret weapon. He’s the one who will whip the DOJ into shape and punish the tyrants who abused their power to target decent Americans for refusing to bow to the regime. If Matt Gaetz becomes AG, the swamp will finally be drained, and that scares the hell out of the Deep State. So, the war has begun, and leading the charge against Trump’s agenda is their favorite puppet, Mitch McConnell.
But there’s one huge problem: this man is barely alive.
Donald Trump’s MAGA faithful were outraged after it was leaked that Mitch McConnell hatched a plot to stall his Cabinet nominations in the Senate.
The backlash began after a now-deleted tweet from New Yorker staff writer Jane Mayer claimed McConnell told colleagues ‘there will be no recess appointments’ for the president-elect’s cabinet members.
‘Message to Trump Team: “There will be no recess appointments” Sen. Mitch McConnell said tonight at a Washington gathering,’ Mayer wrote on X at around 8 pm Sunday.
Trump has promised to use the strategy to defy Congressional oversight and bypass the Senate confirmation process when appointing people to senior administration positions.
He has demanded that the incoming GOP Senate leader back his use of recess appointments. McConnell recently stepped down from his position as GOP leader in the Senate and was replaced by South Dakota Senator John Thune.
Still, the 82-year-old McConnell seemed confident about his prediction. It’s unclear if he will run for re-election in 2026 at 84 and could feel less influenced by his desire to keep his seat.
Mayer has since deleted the tweet without explanation, but not before it caused commotion among Trump supporters, who suspected something was foul was afoot.
Senator Mike Lee of Utah reiterated that ‘McConnell is no longer the Senate GOP leader’ before asking: ‘Remember that time when McConnell decided he wouldn’t be speaking for Senate Republicans anymore?’
After McConnell reportedly said, “There will be no recess appointments,” social media was overtaken by talk of the upcoming standoff.
Former federal prosecutor Harry Litman said, “Lines are drawn.”
“It would be sad as well as disgraceful if the Senate caved on this,” he added. “And the stakes go beyond the political, and even the constitutional. It’s an inordinate and unnecessary national security risk.”
HuffPost reporter Yashar Ali said, “McConnell will not be Senate Republican Leader soon, but he may be saying this based on conversations with his colleagues.”
However, Rick Scott, MAGA’s choice for Senate Majority Leader, who lost out to RINO John Thune, begs to differ.
Yes, there will be. https://t.co/wn8EzfnKHr

But even Thune says recess appointments are not off the table. The question is, will he keep his word?
Thune says recess appointments are on the table. Excellent. Obama made 32 recess appointments, so we really don’t want to hear whatever democrats have to say about it. pic.twitter.com/Qo32OPE4x2

The American people didn’t just elect President Trump—they sent him to the White House with a historic mandate. Trump isn’t just a president; he’s the most powerful Republican to ever exist. And if the GOP doesn’t fall in line, there will be hell to pay.
We recently published a compelling piece outlining exactly how to drain the swamp—a clear blueprint for Making America Great Again.
In 2016, I worked for one of the largest lobbying firms in Washington, D.C. Despite our reputation as a “Republican-leaning” lobby shop, I was the only Trump supporter in our entire firm. My support for Trump, and indeed my insistence that he would win the presidency, were constantly the butt of jokes in client meetings and client pitches: “This is Chris; he supports Trump, and he thinks Trump will win! HAHAHA.”
A little after 2:30 a.m. the day after Election Day, right after the race was called for Donald J. Trump, I got a text from my boss asking me if I could meet the president of the firm for breakfast that morning. Suddenly, it wasn’t so funny that I had been a vocal supporter of Trump. Despite the fact that the overwhelming majority of lobbyists in DC had opposed Trump and actually wrote checks to his opponent, the Trump administration was willing to work with them. When Trump was ascendant in DC, the swamp happily requested—and were given—meetings with members of the Trump administration.
Not surprisingly, once the political tide turned against President Trump, the DC swamp once again turned on President Trump. Late in the first Trump administration, I was asked to come in and interview for a job with the White House. I told very few friends about the interview but did confide in a former long-time lobbying colleague, who was a GOP Chief of Staff on the Hill and who I thought of as a mentor. Her response was, “Personally, I hope you don’t get the job. The people who work in this administration won’t be remembered fondly for it.” Indeed, in the wake of the overwrought hysteria over January 6th, you would be hard-pressed to find more than a handful of lobbyists who were willing to publicly support Trump.
If you want to drain the DC swamp in one easy step, here is how you do it: the Trump administration, at a bare minimum, should refuse to take a single meeting with a single lobbyist who supported Kamala Harris. A vastly superior option would be to only take meetings with lobbyists who openly supported Trump during the election and donated to his campaign. And it’s not just blacklisting the Harris-supporting swamp; this policy should include refusing to take meetings with lobbyists who lined the pockets of Trump’s primary opponents in 2024.
Almost none of the supposedly Republican lobbyists in DC wrote checks to support President Trump’s campaign in the primary. Indeed, most of them first propped up Ron DeSantis’ campaign and then were the driving force behind Nikki Haley’s kamikaze mission against Trump. The same energy and enthusiasm that President Trump has promised to bring the administrative state to heel should be employed to break the back of the swamp.

How to Drain the Lobbyist Swamp in One Easy Step
But, as usual, enter RINOs like Mitch McConnell. His painfully predictable pushback isn’t just a slap in Trump’s face—it’s a direct shot fired at the American people. The voters didn’t flood the polls and demand change just to watch a half-dead swamp creature like McConnell sabotage everything. Ain’t gonna happen.
Look at him. The man makes Joe Biden seem alive and alert.
Mitch McConnell is now telling people that there will be no recess appointments in Trump’s next administration.
This guy is in for a rude awakening if he thinks he’s going to usurp the will of 76 million people and dictate Trump’s second term. pic.twitter.com/FoQRX7sUPN

It’s painfully obvious that Mitch McConnell isn’t in any mental or physical condition to launch an attack against Trump’s agenda. We’re not even sure this man can dress himself without help. So the real question is—who’s pulling this zombie’s puppet strings? McConnell has always been a loyal cog in the Deep State machine, a key player in their plan to control the US government from the shadows. But when Trump came into power, Mitch came out of the shadows and ripped off his mask. McConnell doesn’t serve the will of the American people; he serves his true masters—the elites who’ve propped him up for decades. And they’ll squeeze every last ounce of usefulness out of him, right up to the bitter, ugly end. McConnell isn’t just a hurdle—he’s a weapon, wielded by the forces Trump was elected to defeat.
It’s time to fight harder, folks. Get loud, and stay engaged. We need you, and so does President Trump, and all of America.
