Trump Rides Garbage Truck to Hammer Biden

🎙️ Voice is AI-generated. Inconsistencies may occur.

Former President Donald Trump rode in a garbage truck ahead of his rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on Wednesday in a dig at President Joe Biden.

Biden sent MAGA world into a frenzy earlier this week when he appeared to refer to Trump's supporters as "garbage."

"How do you like my garbage truck?" Trump told reporters as he sat in the passenger seat of a white truck emblazoned with the Trump 2024 campaign logo. "This truck is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden."

According to a clip aired on CNN of a virtual call with Latino voters on Tuesday, Biden said that "the only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters—his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it's un-American."

The White House then released a statement Tuesday evening seeking to clarify Biden's comments.

"The President referred to the hateful rhetoric at the Madison Square Garden rally as garbage," White House spokesperson Andrew Bates said.

He also provided a White House transcript of the call, which quoted Biden as saying that Puerto Ricans "in my home state of Delaware, they're good, decent, honorable people. The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters—his—his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it's un-American. It's totally contrary to everything we've done, everything we've been."

Harris weighed in on Biden's comments Wednesday morning, saying she "strongly" disagrees with criticizing people based on their politics or who they vote for.

Trump was first made aware of Biden's comments on Tuesday evening while he was rallying in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

"Just moments ago, Joe Biden stated that our supporters are garbage," Florida Senator Marco Rubio said at the rally, as the crowd started booing and jeering.

"Wow," Trump said. "That's terrible. That's what it says. That's what it says."

He drew a parallel to when then-Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton described Trump supporters as "deplorable" during the 2016 election.

"You have, remember Hillary, she said deplorable, and then she said irredeemable, right?" Trump said. "But she said deplorable, and that didn't work out. Garbage, I think, is worse, right?"

Trump doubled down on his criticism of Biden at a rally in North Carolina earlier Wednesday.

"Now, speaking on a call for her campaign, last night, Joe Biden finally said what he and Kamala really think of our supporters," Trump said. "He called them garbage. And they mean it."

"Even though, without question, my supporters are far higher quality than Crooked Joe or Lyin' Kamala," Trump said. "My response to Joe and Kamala is very simple: you can't lead America if you don't love Americans."
