Uh oh…

There’s nothing quite like grabbing a cup of coffee at your local diner, expecting to film a piece for mainstream news, and then—bam—finding out that nearly everyone inside is voting for Trump. That’s exactly what happened when CBS News strolled into a North Carolina diner. Spoiler alert: it didn’t go quite the way they had probably planned. They got a side order of America First with their pancakes.

CBS went to North Carolina to chat with diners about the big election and what they found was a whole lot of love for Trump. Almost every customer they spoke with said they were voting for him. One diner summed it up best: “We were better off when Trump was in.” Another mentioned, “We need somebody to take command.” And perhaps the most striking comment of all? “If we get Trump, we have hope. If we get Kamala, we don’t have any hope. It’s gone.”

This is what happens when the propaganda media leaves their comfy NYC and DC headquarters and ventures out into real America—they get a reality check. Maybe it’d be better for them if they just stayed home, where they can keep pretending everyone thinks like they do?
