Team Harris/Walz is in absolute shambles. Just last week, the Teamsters refused to endorse her—for the first time since the Clinton era. But how could they endorse Harris when internal polling showed over 60 percent of their members are backing President Trump?

But it was this latest Trump endorsement that was so unexpected, it had us getting whiplash. We did a triple-take.

As some of you may know, a city in swing state Michigan called Hamtramck went from being a haven for Polish families to being overrun by Muslims. It’s now lost its Polish luster and is the only all-Muslim-run city in America—not exactly a claim to fame, in our book. So you can imagine why we did a triple take when we heard that the mayor of Hamtramck has actually endorsed President Trump in 2024.

The art of the deal, indeed.

Politics makes for some strange bedfellows, but when you’re fighting for the very soul of your country, it’s understandable that you may inadvertantly team up with unlikely allies to get across the finish line—especially when you’re staring down the very real possibility of another “2020 cheat-fest.” And let’s be honest, these are the same people who stood up against the “gender confusion” being pushed in local schools, so like it or not, we do have some common ground.

But the real bottom line is that in Trump, many Arabs and Muslims in America see a hope for peace.

Breitbart:

Former President Donald Trump told Breitbart News exclusively that he is excited that Ameer Ghalib, the Muslim Democrat mayor of Hamtramck, Michigan, has endorsed his campaign for president against Vice President Kamala Harris.

“I was very impressed with him and he was a very big fan of the Trump administration because he saw no wars — outside of defeating ISIS, but I inherited that — but there were no wars,” Trump told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview Sunday afternoon. “There was no October 7. There was no Russian attack on Ukraine. He sees that and he told me — he saw a world that was at peace. Now, we have a world that’s going to end up in World War 3 and I can stop that. I’m the only one that’s going to stop that.”

Trump, in a nearly hourlong phone interview Sunday, told Breitbart News he is very open to going to Hamtramck for a campaign event and to meet with leaders of the Arab American community who are upset with the failures of Harris’s and President Joe Biden’s administration.

“The answer is if the opportunity presents itself I would do that,” Trump said when asked if he would hold a rally or a campaign stop in Hamtramck. “It can’t remain the way it is now with the hatred that’s going around.”

Ghalib, the mayor of Hamtramck who is also a Democrat and a Yemeni immigrant, represents one of the biggest Muslim communities in Wayne County, Michigan. The population is reportedly 60 percent Muslim.

Ghalib was one of the leaders of the effort to get Muslim Democrats to vote “Uncommitted” against Biden earlier this year in the Democrat primary in Michigan, and then that movement transformed first into the “Abandon Biden” effort in the general election and has now become the “Abandon Harris” movement.

It turns out that peace is one of the things we can all agree on. And the kicker here is that the responses from the Muslim community have been overwhelmingly positive.

Collin Rugg:

Democrat Muslim mayor of Hamtramck, Michigan Ameer Ghalib receives a very positive reaction after announcing he was endorsing Donald Trump.

In 2021, Hamtramck became the first city in the nation to elect an all-Muslim city council.

Over 60% of Hamtramck’s population is Muslim, meaning Ghalib’s endorsement could have tremendous impact in the toss up state.

Also in 2021, Ghalib won by a massive margin, receiving 68% of the vote with his opponent receiving just 31%.

Hamtramck has a population of about 28,000.

There are about 240,000 Muslims in the state of Michigan.

Much of this “change of heart” sentiment comes from the fact that President Trump is bypassing the mainstream media, going on podcasts, and not falling into the regime-run media’s “gotcha” trap. He can now fully focus on his message and ideas to make America great again and reach more people. Ironically, this is the exact advice we gave him in a recent article we published.

Revolver:

Maximize the Long Interviews

Donald Trump is a man of limitless conversational power. The man can talk, and talk, and talk, and talk, and talk, and somehow never get boring.

While Trump’s rallies are iconic and his clashes with the press have created countless iconic moments, Trump’s ability to shine in one-on-one conversations is perhaps the least noted and least exploited of his assets. And in this cycle, there are far more opportunities for such extended conversations to be had. One of the biggest differences between 2024 and Trump’s prior two campaigns is that a far wider range of public figures are happy to engage with Trump as an acceptable, normal part of American political life, rather than a monstrous evil who can only be either confronted, silenced, or ignored. That means more celebrities and influencers are ready to give Trump friendly (or at least non-hostile) interviews, where he can make a friendly overture to voters outside the usual GOP orbit.

The Trump interview with mega-influencer Logan Paul is a case in point. The interview would absolutely never have happened in either 2016 or 2020. But now, things have changed immensely, to Trump’s benefit. A massive audience of young people got a close-up look at Trump (possibly for the first time), and the interview showed Trump at his best. And of course, it was a massive success, garnering more than 6 million views on YouTube alone, and who knows how many more from podcasting platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and more.

The 75-Day Sprint: The Tactics That Will Win Donald Trump the Election

In truth, this Hamtramck endorsement is one of the biggest blows to Team Harris/Walz since the Teamsters refused to back them. And let’s be honest, this one is even more shocking.

Al Jazeera:

The mayor of the only city in the United States with an all-Muslim government has endorsed former President Donald Trump for November’s presidential election.

Amer Ghalib, who leads the city of Hamtramck in the crucial battleground state of Michigan, said on Sunday that the Republican candidate is a “man of principles” and “the right choice”, despite their disagreements on some issues.

“President Trump and I may not agree on everything, but I know he is a man of principles,” Ghalib said in a post on Facebook.

“Though it’s looking good, he may or may not win the election and be the 47th president of the United States, but I believe he is the right choice for this critical time. I’ll not regret my decision no matter what the outcome would be, and I’m ready to face the consequences.”

“Now, let the Caravan begin its journey,” Ghalib added. “This is just the starting point.”

President Trump quickly shared the game-changing endorsement on his Truth Social account. And if you thought the Hamtramck mayor and the Teamsters were a blow, it gets even worse for Comrade Kamala. Another major left-leaning group in swing state Michigan has refused to endorse her.

Washington Examiner:

The Uncommitted National Movement said in a statement Thursday that it will not endorse Vice President Kamala Harris while calling for its supporters to “block” a second term in office for former President Donald Trump.

The movement is responsible for organizing hundreds of thousands of protest votes against President Joe Biden during the 2024 Democratic primary over his handling of the Israel-Gaza conflict and continued those protests last month at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois.

The movement’s delegates held a sit-down and other peaceful protests inside the security perimeter at the United Center in Chicago just hours before Harris delivered her nominee acceptance speech. The group gave the vice president a Sept. 15 deadline to meet with group leaders to discuss an arms embargo on Israel.

“Vice President Harris’s unwillingness to shift on unconditional weapons policy or to even make a clear campaign statement in support of upholding existing U.S. and international human rights law has made it impossible for us to endorse her,” the movement wrote in a statement.

The Uncommitted National Movement is particularly active in Michigan, with large and influential Arab-American and Muslim populations. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), the only Palestinian American in Congress, has been a vocal opponent of the Biden-Harris administration’s support for Israel. Layla Elabed, co-founder of the movement and Tlaib’s sister, said in August that Harris was at risk of losing Michigan because voters “know firsthand the effects and the impact of American-funded bombing.”

These pro-Trump endorsements from unexpected sources, along with the non-endorsements from staunch left-wingers, are making it much harder for the Dems to cheat their way to another phony victory—especially in Michigan, a state that seems to be slipping further out of Kamala’s grasp with each passing day. Keep fighting; when this is all said and done, President Trump may have the most “unified” victory in US history.
