Fresh off of a jam-packed week of Democratic National Convention events, reports of attendees’ testing positive for Covid are rolling in.
They include members of Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign staff, who are now contending with sickness from Covid, according to two sources close to the campaign with knowledge of the cases. There is at least some concern the developments could affect staffing at events this week, they added.
According to the CDC’s analysis of hospitalizations, 25 states in the US are experiencing or are likely to experience rising numbers of COVID infections. The spread is nationwide, affecting the West, the South, the Midwest, and the Northeast.

The shocking phenomenon was exposed by renowned statistician John Beaudoin. After analyzing official state government data for excess deaths, Beaudoin calculated that there have been 155,000 excess deaths caused by acute kidney injury (AKI) since late 2020 in the United States alone.
As Beaudoin explains in a new interview, excess death is the figure above the expected baseline, not the total, meaning an extra 155k Americans died from AKI. The data shows that AKI-related deaths remained at expected levels for years through 2020.
However, after Covid mRNA shots were rolled out in early 2021, AKI deaths surged 200% above normal levels for that year. Shocking, AKI deaths continued to skyrocket to 300% above normal in 2022.
