The New York Post first reported that the man who attempted to assassinate President Trump Saturday evening is a 20-year-old Pennsylvania man.

Mediaite:

The gunman who opened fire on the crowd at a Donald Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, wounding the former president, killing one rally-goer, and injuring another, has been identified.

The New York Post reported that 20-year-old Pennsylvania man Thomas Matthew Crooks was the gunman who was shot dead by Secret Service agents after opening fire on the crowd. The Post cited anonymous sources. A law enforcement press conference is expected late Saturday night.

The FBI confirmed the New York Post’s reporting late Saturday night.

The National Pulse:

UPDATE–SHOOTER NAMED: The shooter was named as Thomas Crooks of Bethel Park, PA in the Pittsburgh Metropolitan area. The National Pulse has found Federal Election Commission (FEC) data matching the name to a location in Bethel Park, which–if the same person–shows the shooter was a donor to the Progressive Turnout Project through ActBlue, a left-wing political fundraising platform. The Progressive Turnout Project helps to elect far-left Democrats to Congress and other offices.

Here’s a picture of the deceased shooter on the roof of that now-infamous building.

Here’s a video of the shooter in action.

James O’Keefe has published a photo alleged to be of the shooter after he got smoked. Warning: The following photo is particularly graphic. Click here.

Confusion arose earlier on the internet as a man claiming to be Thomas Matthew Crooks posted a video stating, “You got the wrong guy.”

The New York Post apparently did get the name of the shooter right, but posted a picture of the wrong guy, which led to the gentleman above posting the video.
