Let’s face it, President Trump is on a winning streak—from dominating the debate to that Supreme Court victory—and now, those trials against him look like they’re done for. So, it’s no surprise that the regime is probably piling an ungodly amount of pressure on Judge Merchan, the last man standing who could “do something” to stop Trump with a harsh sentence. The regime is like a cornered animal right now, desperate and unpredictable, making moves driven solely by survival and a ruthless desire to eliminate their perceived threat at any cost.

Tucker’s got a bold prediction: He thinks they’re aiming to lock up Trump with a harsh sentence. After all, Trump isn’t just the Republican nominee; he’s likely the next President of the United States. Tucker’s convinced this move could toss the US into a type of chaos we’ve never seen before. He’s shouting for the Democrats to dial it back immediately.

Tucker Carlson:

Biden is done. Bet on it. Too many prominent Democrats have suggested he’s brain damaged. They can’t walk that back. They have to remove him, and they will. The only question is when. If they’re smart, they’ll do it immediately. If Kamala’s going to be the nominee, she might as well be the president first. That leaves the question of Trump, and his sentencing on July 11. Biden’s collapse makes this a much more perilous moment than it was. At this point Trump is not just the Republican candidate, but effectively the presumptive president. If you’re going to put him in jail, it had better be for a very serious crime that everyone agrees he committed. Otherwise you risk destroying the system completely and forever. We’re in legitimate danger. Democrats need to pull back.

While most of Tucker’s insights hit the mark, especially regarding the regime ramping up its lawfare against Trump, we believe the jury is still out on whether or not Biden will be replaced. It looks like the Dems are stuck with the old guy because Joe (and Jill) simply refuse to step down.

It may seem like we are on the brink of a protracted struggle over whether Joe Biden will be forced off the top of the Democratic ticket. This showdown is interesting and consequential not only for the obvious impact on the presidential race but also because it is a rare public struggle between the mainstream media and the elder statesmen of the Democrat Party—usually the most reliable of allies and bedfellows. If Biden’s cognitive inabilities simply serve to underscore how opaque power is in the most powerful nation in the history of the earth (if Biden is brain dead, who is running the show?), the struggle between the Democrat elite and the media will at least offer a glimpse as to the pecking order among two key components of our otherwise inscrutable power structure.

But don’t be fooled. Biden isn’t dropping out. He was never going to drop out. No matter how badly Biden did Thursday night—and it’s hard to imagine a worse showing than what we all saw—he was always going to stay in. Unless Biden dies or becomes a vegetable incapable of basic articulation or ambulation, he will remain the Democrat candidate on November 5.

We realize that this position is very much going against the grain, and anything is possible—we could even be wrong. But the underlying analysis that led us to this position months ago has simply not changed.

Indeed, even when the primaries were still unfolding, Revolver laid out several reasons why a Gavin Newsom switcheroo and other potential schemes often dreamed up on the right were so unlikely. Those schemes are even more unlikely now than they were then, and there are several new reasons why they are so unlikely to happen.

Let us explain why Democrats will, in all likelihood, be forced to stick with Old Joe. As old-time Democrat strategist David Axelrod seems to recognize, the Democrats had their chance to get rid of Biden over a year ago, and now it is simply too late for any such effort not to do more harm than good to the Democrats’ 2024 prospects. In short, they’re screwed.

Don’t Be Fooled: Joe Isn’t Stepping Down

Yes, even some high-ranking Dems and many media figures are urging Joe to bow out, citing concerns about his mental fitness—comments that are too damning to ever take back. But much of this outcry follows the debate that fully exposed their massive gaslighting effort. With no teleprompter to lean on and facing the toughest guy in politics who didn’t mince words, the “Biden illusion” shattered. The carefully crafted image of Joe as a “brilliant elder statesman” totally disintegrated. Now, in a scramble to salvage some shred of credibility, many in the media and political circles are finally speaking the truth, abandoning Biden because they can no longer maintain the facade that he’s at his “prime.”

Once again, Revolver’s Darren Beattie offers a sharp analysis of the media’s realignment and the crumbling Biden narrative.

The era of this particular gaslighting is over, and Joe is left to fend for himself. But he’s a tough old bird, even though his brain may be addled, so don’t expect him or his power-hungry wife to be easily ousted. After all, humility and shame have never been the Biden family’s strong suits. They’re not about to start worrying about public opinion now, are they?
