Well, folks, this latest story out of California shows just how twisted liberal so-called “justice” has become. In what can only be called complete and utter insanity, the land of “fruits and nuts” has introduced a new insane spin on the statute of limitations. This new version kicks in only when you “feel harmed” by someone else. That’s right, the judicial clock now starts ticking based on someone’s “feelz.” Sounds completely sane and normal, right? Obviously, this is enough to scare the living daylights out of anyone who respects and values the rule of law. Once again, “activism” has shoved actual law aside in another liberal-run debacle.
This is the disturbing story of a man named Mark Hanson, who owns “Bricoleur Vineyards.” He’s now accused of raping and abusing his younger sister over a six-year period when they were kids. He says his sister made up the story of abuse to scam money, but of course, the unjust California judicial system is ready to hang this guy from the rafters for something that can never be proved from the 1970s. In a nutshell, the sister now claims she completely blocked out memories of the assaults, which, surprise, magically resurfaced in 2022. She’s now filing a lawsuit under California’s criminally insane law, which permits sexual assault victims to initiate legal proceedings within five years from when they realize that they “feel” that harm has been done to them. Meanwhile, this woman has been “friendly” with her brother all this time, until the “harrowing memories” came flooding back. Now, she’s seeking a nice pile of cash because she suddenly remembered those 50-year-old “feelz.”

California law allows the victims of sexual assault victims five years to take legal action with the clock only starting beginning ‘once the survivor understands what happened and understands and feels harmed by the behavior.’

McKean is seeking unspecified civil damages, citing symptoms including PTSD, depression, flashbacks, anxiety and a loss of self-esteem.
That’s her side of the story, and it sounds bad, right? Now check out the brother’s side of the story.
Her brother, Hanson, has denied the allegations saying they are ‘invented memories’.
‘Hilary has fabricated and invented details with the sole intention of portraying me in the most damaging way in an attempt to extort significant money from me,’ he said in a statement.
‘While my daughter concentrates on defeating cancer, I am also occupied running our joint family business in her absence. This speaks directly to my sister’s lack of character, compassion, and her motivation for money.
‘It is hard to believe that an individual who led such a long and successful professional career as my sister Hilary, who frequently spoke about female empowerment, would have kept events of the magnitude of these allegations suppressed for five decades.
‘Conveniently, these invented “memories” have “surfaced” to take advantage of the state’s statute of limitations,’ Hanson said, describing his sister as someone who pursued ‘unconventional’ therapies for ongoing mental health issues, mocking her self-portrayal as a spiritual healer and clairvoyant.
It sounds like McKean sought out Miss Cleo to help her bring up those “repressed memories.”
You won’t be surprised to find out that the sister also fancies herself a “Life Force Energy Healer,” also known as a “ko0k.” The Daily Mail piece goes on:
On her own website, McKean describes herself as ‘an experienced intuitive coach, master Life Force Energy Healer and levels of the aura reader’.
‘I understand the pain of being locked into lies. I know how hard it is to step forward and be seen, when you’ve been programmed to make everything look perfect, to fit in, to be just like everyone else,’ she writes in her online bio.
Referring to his sister’s website, Hanson said: ‘Perhaps she invented her false allegations in that aura, but that is all they are: fabricated claims with no basis in fact.
‘The allegations are false and painful to me and to my family. I am confident they will not survive in the courtroom. I will not allow her falsehoods to tarnish my good name and our family reputation.’
So, to sum up: In California, you can commit all sorts of violent, thuggish crimes and skate by, but someone can decide they “feel harmed” by you 50 years later and slap you with a massive lawsuit. That’s the twisted reality of our activist judicial system today.
This lawsuit shows exactly why common law, anywhere in the world, features statutes of limitations. These cases are impossible to litigate fifty years after the fact, and for that very reason, they invite and encourage abuse by anyone seeking a payday or with an axe to grind. In any serious country, a case like this would be literally laughed right out of the courtroom. But it seems we’re no longer serious about anything, except perhaps making ourselves look like the world’s biggest fools. This is nothing but a huge invitation for vengeful chicks to unleash judicial abuse in liberal jurisdictions. A really disturbing pattern we see unfolding in many progressive hellholes.
