A CNN host and former Obama advisor let the quiet part slither out recently when she was talking about the life and death of O.J. Simpson. Ashley Allison suggested that Simpson meant something special to blacks because he killed two white people. Wow. Well, as shocking and horrific as that sounds, this woman may be onto something. After all, there’s always been such a strong determination in the black community to portray O.J. Simpson as the “real” victim. It seems like supporters of O.J. are willing to perform wild mental gymnastics to defend one of their own, regardless of the crimes committed. Could their reasoning be influenced by racism? Absolutely; why wouldn’t it be? After all, O.J. Simpson was once their pride and glory. How dare those murdered white people overshadow that legacy?

The New York Post:

A CNN contributor sparked outrage Thursday by saying that OJ Simpson “represented something for the black community … particularly because there were two white people who had been killed.”

Ashley Allison made the comment during the network’s coverage of the death of the 76-year-old Simpson, the disgraced NFL legend who was acquitted in 1995 of the murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman.

Allison — a former Obama administration official who also worked on Joe Biden’s presidential campaign as well as his transition team — was weighing in on the racial tensions that pervaded the country during the Simpson trial and its aftermath.

She said the Simpson case brought to the fore “just how black Americans feel about policing.”

“He wasn’t a social justice leader, but he represented something for the black community in that moment, in that trial, particularly because there were two white people who had been killed,” Allison said.

“And the history around how black people have been persecuted during slavery.”

Actually, this is a story about a jealous, possessive man who abused a woman and then killed her and her friend as a final act of control. There’s not much more you can spin on that story, but it’s shocking how the left will still try.

Western Lensman:

WTF: CNN Contributor suggests black people identified with OJ because he k*lled white people.

“[OJ] represented something for the black community in that moment, in that trial, particularly because there were two white people who had been k*lled.”

These remarks are insane.

ASHLEY ALLISON: “But it was so racially charged because of what had happened just before with Rodney King, but also just how black Americans feel about policing.”

“He wasn’t a social justice leader, but he represented something for the black community in that moment, in that trial, particularly because there were two white people who had been k*lled. And the history around how black people have been persecuted during slavery.”

“Until this country is ready to actually have an honest conversation about the racial dynamics from our origin story until today, we will always have moments like O.J. Simpson that manifests and our country will always be divided if we don’t actually deal with the issue of race.”

In addition, popular right-wing influencer Paul Joseph Watson covered this disturbing story:

If the black community continues to uplift thugs and murderers as symbols of civil rights heroes, they’re going to be in big trouble. Black kids should understand that there are far better role models to emulate than thugs who engage in violence or criminal behavior. It’s important for young people, especially in the troubled black community, to look up to figures who demonstrate positive values and contribute constructively to society, not B-list actors who hire pricey lawyers and successfully beat a murder rap.
