Joe Scarborough likely never envisioned himself as a morning show monkey, decked out in a suit, sitting next to a shrieking feminist, and churning out left-wing propaganda, but that’s where he ended up. He started as a successful attorney and a promising politician, navigating the swamp with ease. However, Joe’s path took an unexpected detour. He went from having grand political ambitions to facing a stalled career. Tragically, his time as a congressional representative was also marked by the mysterious death of a staffer named Lori Bolterstein Klausutis, which has cast a long shadow over Joe for decades.

Vanity Fair:

Klausutis worked in one of Scarborough’s offices in Fort Walton, Fla., as a constituent services coordinator. She died unexpectedly at 28, and an autopsy revealed it was due to an undiagnosed heart condition that caused her to pass out and hit her head, which was the cause of death.

Over the years, President Trump has been very vocal about the young girl’s death.

In 2001, Scarborough quietly packed up his desk and left Congress just a few months into his fourth term. He claimed he wanted to spend more time with his sons, but many speculated there was more to the story. His staffer, who some rumored he was romantically involved with, died on July 19th, 2001, at only 28 years old, supposedly of a “heart condition.” Again, many rumors persisted after her death. Joe, a man who now has three marriages under his belt, exited Congress just a couple of months after his staffer’s death, ending his hopes of ever becoming president—it was strange timing, to say the least.

Years later, a visibly bitter Morning Joe grew increasingly upset with the populist direction President Trump was steering the Republican Party. This led Establishment Joe to leave the GOP and morph into a fervent progressive nutjob.

Every morning, Joe reinforces the idea that liberalism is a mental disorder.

Joe gets up at 6:00 AM just to bash President Trump, and when things don’t go his way, he and his panel lash out again. Rinse and repeat.

Well, based on all of this and more, Steve Bannon has a theory about why Joe Scarborough harbors such intense, bitter resentment towards President Trump. Bannon thinks it’s all tied to Joe’s failed political dreams. At one point, Joe believed he might one day become President of the United States. But when those ambitions crumbled like a stale cookie and he saw an outsider like Trump effortlessly take what he wanted, it was infuriating for him. There he was, stuck behind a news desk in his nerdy glasses, next to an aging “girl boss,” talking about cow flatulence destroying the earth. Ouch. According to Bannon, watching Trump succeed was a tough blow—like a real kick in the cornflakes—that completely derailed Joe and turned him into the wild-eyed propaganda curmudgeon we see today.

Bannon might be onto something. After all, these days, there’s a running joke about how quickly Morning Joe will revert to his old political days during his show. The joke is that it usually takes about 8 minutes for Joe to start fondly reminiscing about his time in Congress. It seems like Joe was pushed out of the political arena before he could achieve his goals, and it’s left him bitter. Now, he’s lashing out at others, like President Trump, who have succeeded where he failed and won the affection of the public.
