In Joe Biden’s dark, depressing, Orwellian America, the latest casualty of his draconian rule is Trump’s former official, Peter Navarro. He’s been sentenced to four months in federal prison simply for standing his ground against the deceitful antics of the January 6th Committee, led by the likes of traitor Liz Cheney and crying numbskull Adam Kinzinger. What’s infuriating here is the stark double standard. Others have shrugged off compliance without so much as a slap on the wrist. But mark yourself as a Trump supporter, and suddenly, you’re sporting a giant red target on your back, ready to face down an unjust “justice system,” whether you like it or not.

Who’s playing a key role in upholding this “1984” nightmare? Well, none other than Fox News, ensuring the status quo doesn’t wobble. They aired Peter’s remarks right up until he veered a little too close to spilling the truth. At that moment, in true media manipulation fashion, Fox News pulled its typical move, cutting away from the coverage. And just like that, they transformed into diligent little cover-up artists for regime propaganda.

God forbid the American people hear the “reason” Peter was about to discuss, right, Sandra? Fox News has basically become the establishment’s “clean-up crew,” making sure none of the mess spills over to the public. They’re tasked with keeping the narrative tidy and the uncomfortable truths under wraps—gatekeepers for the regime’s narrative. They’re not just reporting news; they’re sculpting and editing it to fit the agenda of those in power.

CBS News:

Peter Navarro, who served as White House trade adviser to former President Donald Trump, turned himself in to a federal prison in Miami on Tuesday to begin serving a four-month sentence for defying a congressional subpoena.

His surrender came one day after Chief Justice John Roberts rejected his 11th-hour bid to remain free while he appeals his conviction for contempt of Congress. Navarro was assigned to an 80-person dormitory reserved for older inmates in the Miami facility, according to a source familiar with the matter, where he is expected to have some access to email and phone.

At a press conference at a strip mall across the street from the prison before turning himself in, Navarro claimed his case represents an “unprecedented assault” on the separation of powers and executive privilege.

“When I walk in that prison today, the justice system such as it is will have done a crippling blow to the constitutional separation of powers and executive privilege,” he told a group of reporters.

Navarro pledged to appeal his conviction up to the Supreme Court and claimed his conviction stemmed from the actions of lawmakers, prosecutors and judges who are “Trump-haters.” There is no evidence that his prosecution was politically motivated.

“This is the partisan weaponization of our judicial system,” Navarro said, taking issue with a ruling that barred him from presenting certain defenses to the jury that is now one of the subjects of his appeal.

He is the first former White House official to go to prison after being convicted of contempt of Congress.

Of course, he’s the “first.” He’s a Trump supporter, and the Biden regime behaves like North Korean tyrants when it comes to their political enemies. Meanwhile, does anybody remember when this anti-American Marxist was held in contempt for refusing to turn over documents in the deadly “Fast and Furious” gun-running scheme?

Or what about Lois Lerner, the disgraced former IRS ghoul who was also found in contempt of Congress?

Forbes:

Contempt. That was the verdict last year, when, upon recommendation of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, the full House of Representatives voted 231-187 to hold Lois G. Lerner in contempt of Congress for refusal to comply with a subpoena duly issued by the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

But don’t worry, folks; the IRS agent who helped target conservatives got off scot-free. Sadly, the “double standards” list of injustices is endless. Yet, Republican lawmakers act like timid puppies, rolling over in submission, while the Democrats, the real “big dogs” of the political world, savagely go after their enemies any way they see fit.

Meanwhile, as all of this injustice is flowing like river rapids, Fox News, the so-called bastion of conservative news, is playing the role of “controlled opposition” perfectly. They’re spoon-feeding conservative viewers a well-prepared mixed blend of approved “anti-Biden” stories, all the while taking their real marching orders from the regime in order to shape the big-picture narrative, which is far more important in the long run. It’s a neat trick that they excel at. So, expect to keep seeing these “break-aways” and “fact checks” when the message goes off track or somebody gets a little too close to the truth.
