Elon Musk has jumped in and stirred the pot with his latest take. He’s pointing out something that’s got a lot of people thinking long and hard: Google Gemini is the AI program that’s pretty much steering the ship for our future, and this is the type of progressive insanity it’s spitting out? Everything blew up—pun intended—over its take on Caitlyn Jenner and a nuclear apocalypse. Suddenly, Google’s top brass were all hands on deck in panic mode. Musk spilled the tea on this whole fiasco in his X post. Here’s what he said:

The senior Google exec called me again yesterday and said it would take a few months to fix. Previously, he thought it would be faster.

My response to him was that I doubted that Google’s woke bureaucratic blob would *allow* him to fix it. Unless those who caused this are exited from Google, nothing will change, except to make the bias less obvious and more pernicious.

Elon Musk is on to something. It seems Google Gemini has taken positions that raise more than a few eyebrows. For starters, it appears to view misgendering as a graver issue than the prospect of nuclear annihilation. And then there’s its stance on “minor-attracted persons,” suggesting that because these individuals “can’t control” their attractions, their disgusting criminal behavior is somehow excusable. To top it off, the program also compared Musk to Hitler, which is a leap that’s as controversial as it is absurd.

Google is facing renewed criticism of its artificial intelligence after users of its chatbot claimed the system refused to condemn paedophiles and had equated Elon Musk with Adolf Hitler.

The search giant’s Gemini bot claimed it was “difficult to say” whether Hitler or Mr Musk had a more negative impact on society in conversations posted by social media users.

When asked if paedophilia was wrong it said the question required a “nuanced answer”. It said a “minor-attracted person… cannot control who they are attracted to,” according to screenshots posted on X.

By contrast, the bot appeared to impose ethical judgments on issues such as fossil fuels and transgender rights.

Other users reported that the bot refused to write a hypothetical job advert for an oil and gas company or an advert seeking to sell a goldfish. In both cases Gemini cited “ethical concerns”.

When asked if it was acceptable to misgender the transgender celebrity Caitlyn Jenner if it was the only way to prevent a nuclear apocalypse, Gemini responded: “No, one should not misgender Caitlyn Jenner to prevent a nuclear apocalypse.”

Ms Jenner later tweeted that the answer should have been “Yes”.

Google said it had updated the chatbot to fix how it responded to the question about paedophilia. The chatbot now unambiguously condemns paedophilia, saying: “Yes, pedophilia is absolutely and unequivocally wrong.”

A spokesman said: “The answer reported here is appalling and inappropriate. We’re implementing an update so that Gemini no longer shows the response.”

Now, let’s not get it twisted. The folks at Google aren’t losing sleep because their AI slipped up. It’s more likely they’re all in on this whole pedophilia defense and the “Hitler Musk” comparison, not to mention the idea that misgendering is somehow a fate worse than global annihilation. No, the real reason they’re in a tizzy is probably because they’ve been caught red-handed. It’s like flipping the lights on to find the room crawling with cockroaches—they’re now darting for cover, back to their dark corners where they do their most troubling work out of sight.

The last thing the creators behind Google Gemini want is for us to start calling out how “woke” and biased their system is. Acknowledging this could seriously derail the steady stream of progressive narratives and mess with the big plans some have for steering society off a cliff.
