Many conservatives have had it with Speaker Mike Johnson. He seems to have transitioned from a MAGA man to a Swamp insider surprisingly quickly, and the natives are getting very restless. One of the voices calling out Speaker Johnson the loudest is none other than War Room creator and America First loyalist Steve Bannon.

However, it wasn’t always this way for Mike. He started off promising and had a lot of MAGA support behind him. But things went sideways, and his troubles started with the January 6 footage. He promised to release it all but ended up pulling a no-show, just like McCarthy did. That left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth, and Mike’s been going downhill ever since.

This recent uproar on the right revolves around a very questionable spending deal that Johnson and traitor Mitch McConnell have orchestrated in order to try and keep the government up and running and also serve the needs of the Uniparty regime. This deal will push the country right off the cliff.

NBC News:

Hard-right House Republicans on Thursday met with Speaker Mike Johnson and pressured him to renege on the spending deal he cut with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., just days ago.

Some conservatives left the meeting proclaiming that they were successful. But Johnson, R-La., told reporters shortly thereafter that he had made no commitments to back out of the deal.

“While those conversations are going on, I’ve made no commitments,” Johnson said. “So if you’ve heard otherwise, it’s just simply not true.”

He then put a cellphone to his ear and didn’t take any more questions.

Members of the far-right Freedom Caucus and their allies are furious over the $1.66 trillion bipartisan spending deal he announced over the weekend that puts Congress on a path to avert a shutdown this month and finish its fiscal 2024 appropriations process. The conservative rabble-rousers used Thursday’s meeting to push the new speaker to reverse course and endorse a new strategy.

Leaving the closed-door meeting, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., insisted that border security “absolutely” needs to be part of the budget negotiations and that Ukraine should receive no additional aid from the U.S.

Johnson “claimed in there he agreed with everything I said. He claimed in there he agreed with other conservatives, everything that we said,” Greene told reporters. “There’s going to be a new deal drawn up, and that’s what we’re in the process of doing.”

Bannon is livid with Speaker Johnson, accusing him of a “bald-faced lie.” He’s warned Johnson that we’ll “fight him to the”death”—metaphorically speaking—if he tries to push through this swampy deal. Bannon believes that if the government shuts down, the public will understand the reasons behind it, as long as it’s properly explained to them.

Of course, most of the people in this country loathe the government anyway.

Steve is right. Mike is at a crossroads, and he needs to think long and hard about his next move. If Mike knows what’s good for him, he’ll seize this opportunity to correct his course and begin acting like an “America First” lawmaker instead of aligning with Deep State swamp rats.
