Ron DeSantis has wrapped up his presidential bid, and for many, it was a decision a long time coming, as his campaign never got off the ground. But in the end, he went out by taking some good jabs at Nikki Haley and throwing his support behind President Trump. Many conservatives saw this as the right move and have praised him for it.

President Trump, always gracious after pummeling his enemies into dust, thanked DeSantis for his endorsement and even said he was “honored” to have it.

Here’s a closeup of the statement:

However, Steve Bannon, the outspoken firebrand from War Room, offers a completely different perspective on what went down, and he’s quite pissed about it, to boot. Bannon doesn’t believe DeSantis should be commended for his so-called “endorsement” of President Trump. In fact, Bannon says that DeSantis behaved more like a petulant 9-year-old child and weaseled out of a real endorsement by using his “pledge” as a way to deliver a rather thinly veiled “endorsement.”

There are rumors that DeSantis might join the ranks of other former candidates who endorsed Trump at an event in New Hampshire. If he does and demonstrates genuine enthusiasm for Trump and his America First movement, could Bannon reconsider his stance? As things currently stand, do you agree with Steve’s viewpoint, or do you believe that DeSantis’s endorsement was heartfelt? Let us know in the comments; we’d love to hear from you.
