Well, it finally happened. Elon Musk relented and lifted the ban on Alex Jones. It was a move that reverberated globally, but it wasn’t a quick decision. It followed a series of developments, but ultimately, Elon took a stand: advertisers wouldn’t dictate the terms on X. Period.

Here’s what Collin Rugg, the co-founder of Trending Politics, had to say about the decision:

Nov 20, 2022: Elon Musk says Alex Jones will remain banned for his Sandy Hook comments.

Nov 29, 2023: Elon Musk tells advertisers to “go f**k yourself.”

Dec 10, 2023: Elon Musk restores Alex Jones’ account.

If Elon wasn’t clear on Nov 29, it’s extremely clear now: Advertisers won’t be allowed to control the narrative on X and if they aren’t okay with that, they can “go f**k” themselves.

Free speech wins.

Collin is correct; free speech did prevail. However, it’s obvious that not everyone in America supports free speech these days. Folks on the left are reacting as if Alex Jones’ return to Twitter is the next apocalypse. Heaven forbid someone expresses an opinion that doesn’t align with their draconian views; Helter-Skelter breaks out.

Here’s what some on the left are saying about the return of Alex Jones:

“That’s it. Twitter/X is going down the drain and so is this country.”

“Elon Musk has zero moral convictions. He stands for absolutely nothing.”

“This is simply outrageous. Alex Jones does not deserve a platform anywhere.”

“This is officially the bad place.”

“boycott any advertisers who signed up after hearing the news”

“When you have no moral compass, you change direction often.”

“This is a dark day in American history. We won’t forget”

Honestly, the way the left is so distraught over Alex Jones returning to X, you’d think he took inappropriate showers with his daughter, laundered bribes from foreign countries, and called black kids roaches.

The left feigned outrage over Alex’s remarks about Sandy Hook, a topic Elon actually questioned him about during a live chat on X:

In reality, they didn’t silence Alex due to his so-called “conspiracy theories.” They silenced him because he ridiculed and exposed the dishonesty of the mainstream media.
