The globalists, both here and abroad, are so agitated by Elon Musk and the free speech on X that they’re acting irrationally. The tipping point was Elon allowing Alex Jones back on the platform. Why not? Alex hasn’t committed any crimes, and for his so-called “controversial statements,” he’s paying a price, quite literally. The left wants “wrongthink” to justify deplatforming, a mindset that lines up perfectly with communism. Most rational people would simply choose to ignore content they don’t agree with. But progressives? Heck no. They want to silence anyone who disagrees with them under this laughable pretense of moral superiority and the absurd guise of “disinformation.” Meanwhile, leftist media puppets are the worst offenders, spreading dangerous fake news that causes widespread chaos—just look at the Russia hoax—and they’ve totally escaped scrutiny. This phony political lie tore the nation apart, causing division so intense that we’re still dealing with it to this day. Not to mention the laundry list of lies they’ve spread about COVID and vaccines. Yet, their focus remains solely on Alex Jones, who hasn’t caused nationwide turmoil.
Now, European authorities are so outraged about Alex Jones being back online that they’re threatening to shut down X entirely in Europe unless Elon bans all independent media from the platform. It’s no longer just about Alex; it’s about silencing any voice they can’t control.
The European Union (EU) launched “formal infringement proceedings” into X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter owned by Big Tech mogul Elon Musk, accusing it of failing to counter illicit content and disinformation, a lack of transparency about advertising and “deceptive” design practices. The European Commission’s executive branch also vowed to permanently shut it down if the platform doesn’t immediately ban alternative media.
“The evidence we currently have is enough to formally open a proceeding against X,” Margrethe Vestager, the 27-nation bloc’s executive vice president overseeing digital policy, said in a statement. “The Commission will carefully investigate X’s compliance with the [Digital Services Act] DSA, to ensure European citizens are safeguarded online.”
The announcement of the probe comes weeks after the microblogging site was asked to provide assurances that it was complying with the terms of the European bloc’s DSA, a regulation to update the Electronic Commerce Directive 2000 regarding illegal content, transparent advertising, and disinformation. It was submitted along with the Digital Markets Act by the European Commission to the European Parliament and the Council in December 2020. Under the law, which came into effect in August, a company can be fined up to six percent of its annual global income or banned from operating in the EU if it is found to have breached the sweeping legislation.
The bottom line is that the globalists are feeling a tremendous loss of control. Their unpopular policies are failing worldwide, and they’re pointing fingers at independent media outlets like Revolver and InfoWars. It’s not because these media sources are spreading lies; rather, they’re revealing truths about political and globalist elites. And if there’s one thing these charlatans despise more than anything, it’s the truth.
