The world is witnessing New York City’s decline from a vibrant metropolis to a progressive nightmare filled with filth, drugs, homelessness, and skyrocketing crime rates. With crime raging out of control and the city plunging into despair, its last line of defense is now resigning at a distressingly alarming rate. This leaves the residents of New York City in a dire situation. Basically, they’re screwed.
NYC police officers are resigning en masse, marking an unprecedented exodus from the force, right at the moment when crime is literally raging out of control.
New York’s Finest continue to bolt from the job at an alarming rate, according to new data obtained by The Post — and some cops worry the exodus will only get worse because the city plans to cancel the next five Police Academy classes, shrinking the nation’s largest police force to the smallest its been in decades.
A total of 2,516 NYPD cops have left so far this year, the fourth highest number in the past decade and 43% more than the 1,750 who hightailed it in 2018, before the pandemic and crime spikes hit the city, NYPD pension data show.
The number of cops quitting before they reach the 20 years required to receive their full pensions also skyrocketed from 509 in 2020 to 1,040 so far this year — an alarming 104% increase, the data show.
The years of departures and lack of replacements are now taking a toll, forcing the cops who remain on the job to work “inhumane amounts of forced overtime,” Police Benevolent Association President Patrick Hendry said.
New York City’s residents are facing turbulent times ahead now that the thugs are back in control. Trending Politics co-founder Collin Rugg shared this statement and video on X:
REPORT: NYPD cops are leaving the force at insane levels as crime in New York City continues to worsen.
Over 2500 cops have left the force this year, 43% higher than the amount who left in 2018 before the pandemic.
Cops ditching the force before they hit their 20 year mark for full pensions has also skyrocketed, up 104% since 2020.
The situation for the NYPD has never been worse as criminals have very little fear when confronting cops considering the city is failing to punish criminals who fight with the police.
The NYPD officer below for example was attacked by two men in the Bronx.
They were released without bail.

Tragically, this situation is a deliberate outcome, planned by the people who want to see America brought to her knees. It’s the result of soft-on-crime district attorneys and prosecutors, as well as the left-wing “Defund the Police” nonsense. The idea of repeatedly arresting the same thugs, only for them to be released again, is unfathomable. Why would anyone want to be a police officer nowadays, when they’re demonized and treated like villains while actual criminals are glorified as heroes?
