Crime in America is escalating at an alarming rate. Liberal-run cities have turned into hotbeds of violence and despair. A significant contributor to this nightmare situation is the narrative pushed by radical progressives that paints police as the enemy and criminals as innocent and misunderstood victims of circumstance. This twisted perspective has created an environment where lawlessness prevails and criminals rule the roost.

Tragically, a left-wing activist in Brooklyn learned how deadly that mentality can be when he and his girlfriend, on their way home from a wedding, were attacked by a deranged man wielding a knife. The activist, in what was a misguided attempt at diplomacy, tried to “reason” with the madman, urging him to “chill” and “calm down.” This only seemed to further incense the attacker. In the end, the man was brutally stabbed and left to die on the sidewalk.

The New York Post:

A heartbreaking photo has emerged showing the Brooklyn activist who was killed in an unprovoked stabbing this week happily posing with his girlfriend just hours before he died in her arms — as his grieving partner revealed an emotional message she found on his phone.

Ryan Carson, 32, and his girlfriend were seen embracing at a wedding they attended Sunday, dressed in a grey suit and blue dress as they beamed together in the photo posted to X around 7 p.m. that evening.

Hours later, the couple sat together at a bus stop in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 4 a.m. Monday — still clad in their wedding attire — when an irate man walked by them and pushed over a motor scooter just as they began to leave.

Security footage obtained by The Post on Tuesday showed the man turn to the couple and shout “What are you looking at?” before he advanced and began to push Carson and swat at his face.

As Carson told the man to calm down, the attacker began shouting “I’ll kill you!” before drawing a knife and stabbing him multiple times in the chest.

After the evil thug stabbed the man, he spat in the woman’s face and then proceeded to kick his victim, who lay bleeding to death on the ground.

Just another “misunderstood” minority, right?

This tragedy is genuinely heart-wrenching, and no one should ever have to experience such horror. Had the couple been more realistic about their surroundings and the true nature of people, and armed themselves with some form of self-defense, (or took a cab home at 4:00 a.m.), they might have had a fighting chance against that demon. In reality, it’s absurd to believe you can “reason” with unhinged attackers. Police officers, who confront these dangers daily, are always on guard, knowing a single misstep could cost them their lives. This recent event in New York City is a grim reminder of this and should serve as a wake-up call for those on the left who’ve criticized the police and pushed to defund them.

The woman’s reaction seemed bizarre to many and caused a bit of a stir online. It turns out she’s a radical Antifa cop-hater (also, police have a lead on the killer):

Initial reports that police did not have a physical description of the suspect led to speculation that Morales, the girlfriend, who believes that “All Cops Are Bastards,” refused to provide the police with a description of the assailant.

Plus, who could forget this similar case in Oakland, California where the friends of a woman brutally murdered by “diversity” demanded “restorative justice” that would involve zero actual punishment of the criminals responsible for their friend’s death?

Weird.

Very weird.
