Regardless of your stance on the Israel-Palestine conflict, most sensible people would agree that America’s interest is to steer clear of yet another endless war in the Middle East. With Hezbollah itching to enter the conflict and Iran and Israel playing an odd game of diplomatic brinksmanship on social media, Bibi did not help matters by flatfootedly resurrecting the George W. Bush era phrase “axis of evil” famously used by George ‘Weapons of Mass Destruction’ Bush.

Independent journalist Michael Tracey had this to say about the provocative remarks made by Bibi Netanyahu:

While no reasonable person supports Islamic terrorism, and Israel is certainly well within its rights to fight back against Iranian proxies in the region, the last thing America needs is to overextend itself in another Middle East quagmire. Ironically, perhaps Bibi’s phrase “axis of evil” will, due to its negative associations, actually have the effect of reminding us all how disastrous American involvement in middle-eastern wars can be. We will just have to wait and see.
