Clearly, the “World War III” strategy involving Ukraine didn’t pan out. The American public grew weary of the conflict and questioned why our so-called leaders weren’t pushing for peace talks. Instead, they seemed all too willing to funnel billions into a corrupt nation with zero transparency or accountability. Now, there’s rising skepticism over the current situation in Israel, as many wonder if this will serve as the US’s “Plan B”, given the military-industrial complex’s eagerness for a large-scale conflict. Secretary of State Blinken’s recent joint statement with Bibi Netanyahu appears to nudge us closer to that reality, essentially pulling the US directly into the fray.

Here’s what was said:

Netanyahu:

“Hamas launched barbaric attacks on Israeli civilians”

“Hamas represents ISIS, and just as ISIS was eliminated, we will eliminate Hamas”

“The coming days will be difficult, but the civilizational side will prevail”

“Hamas slaughtered entire families and burned people alive and celebrated these actions”

“Thank you, America, for standing by Israel”

US Secretary of State:

“I came here not only as Secretary of State of the United States but as a Jew whose grandfather escaped murder”

“What Hamas did is horrific”

“Hamas is an enemy of civilization that kills children, and we will defeat it”

“We will not accept the killing of children and civilians in Israel by Hamas”

“We will provide ammunition for the Patriot system and various ammunition”

“We welcome the formation of an emergency government in Israel”

“The United States has Israel’s back”

Thankfully, not everyone is beating the drums of war. Senator Tommy Tuberville, a political outsider, grasps the nuance. He recognizes Israel’s right to self-defense, but also understands that U.S. involvement could potentially exacerbate the situation.

Another statesman who understands the stakes is Henry Kissinger, who recently discussed with Politico the potential for escalation if the U.S. gets involved.

Hamas’ “open act of aggression” must be met with “some penalty,” Kissinger said — while warning about the potential for dangerous escalation in the region.

“The Middle East conflict has the danger of escalating and bringing in other Arab countries under the pressure of their public opinion,” Kissinger warned, while pointing to the lessons learned from the 1973 Yom Kippur War, during which an Arab coalition led by Egypt and Syria attacked Israel.

If we get dragged into this conflict, the blowback would likely be catastrophic. Former Congressman Ron Paul understood the “risk and reward” theory better than most.

The former Congressman Paul also suggested a long time ago that 9/11 was caused by blowback from our policy in the Middle East.

Like Senator Tuberville, Ron Paul was right. If the U.S. gets involved in a Middle Eastern conflict, the situation could escalate swiftly from a regional dispute to a global showdown. Not to mention that our involvement would likely invite blowback akin to 9/11 and further acts of Muslim terror. In addition, we must consider the domestic issues we’re already dealing with—border security, rising crime rates, inflation, and a government that’s targeting its own citizens. We’re also completely broke and simply can’t afford additional risks or danger at this time.
