What became of all the January 6th footage that McCarthy promised? Tucker Carlson got a hold of some before his Fox News exit, and there was talk that other right-wing media outlets would receive fragments to sift through. Yet talk about the footage has seemingly vanished. Perhaps it was intended to fade away. Given the sheer volume, it would take an army of analysts ages to review it all. That’s why so many wished it had been released “Wikileaks-style” on a public server — though maybe that would’ve made it too easy to expose Pelosi’s needles buried in the haystacks?

Even so, every now and then a new clip emerges that reinforces what many think about law enforcement on that day: they botched it. Based on the footage available, we’ve witnessed a police force that’s overly aggressive, frequently employing excessive force, and in some instances, exacerbating the situation. Was this a calculated move or are these officers simply that incompetent? Maybe it’s a lot of both? That’s what many are wondering once again, thanks to an unearthed clip that shows high-ranking Commander Glover tossing a grenade into the crowd just a few feet from his own cops. This is the same man who claimed the violence was so bad that day that he thought about using “lethal force.”

NBC Washington:

Glover says the bear spray was at times overwhelming and the violence so intense he thought about using lethal force.

“We just had to use every other lawful means that we had at our disposal,” he said. “I think that several individual officers could have been more than justified in employing deadly force in their particular situations. They chose not to. They chose to go toe to toe.”

It’s hard to see why anyone would have trusted Glover to handle anything appropriately, as we can see by his actions in this clip.

Investigative reporter Julie Kelly, just like Revolver, has committed herself to uncovering the truth behind the events of January 6th. After watching the clip, she called out Commander Glover for excessive use of force in a post on X:

Julie, like the rest of us, would love to see some actual internal reporters on how the police handled things on their end.  But don’t hold your breath waiting for them to surface. After all, Michael Byrd, the disgraced officer who fatally shot Ashli Babbitt, just received a promotion. It might be more fitting if Byrd was sitting in a prison cell right now for committing cold-blooded murder.
