The left often cries foul about “disinformation,” positioning themselves as the online gatekeepers of truth and the warriors who are combating “false narratives.” Yet it’s ironic that they’re often the ones spewing out the most disinformation. Just take the COVID saga as a perfect example. Nearly every point the left labeled as a “conspiracy theory” has been proven accurate, while the narratives they tried to suppress have become accepted facts. Not to mention their own dissemination of falsehoods, like when so-called experts publicly stated that vaccines would entirely prevent COVID infections, and claimed “masks” saved lives, and called Ivermectin “horse medication”… the list goes on and on.

Despite this abysmal track record of lies and fake news, the left still sees themselves as the custodians of “truth.” Organizations like the ADL (Anti-Defamation League) portray themselves as impartial anti-hate groups. In reality, they’re radical left-wing activist groups with a mission not to “stop hate” but to dismantle anyone not aligning with their progressive, globalist ideology. Currently, the ADL is feverishly trying to discredit Elon Musk and X, under the guise of being arbiters of “truth,” while actively pushing fear and disinformation to quash free speech. Elon is now fighting back. He’s on a mission to go to war with the ADL and beat them at their own game. One even goes so far as to wonder if Elon could become the first African-American to successfully take on the ADL.

Here’s what went down, in no particular order. Elon revealed that the ADL has, in the past, had the power to secretly suspend or shadowban any Twitter account they don’t like:

Advertisers avoid controversy, so all that is needed for ADL to crush our US & European ad revenue is to make unfounded accusations. They have much less power in Asia, so our ad revenue there is still strong.

This “controversy” causes advertisers to “pause”, but that pause is permanent until ADL gives the green light, which they will not do without us agreeing to secretly suspend or shadowban any account they don’t like.

That is the relationship they’ve had with X/Twitter for many years. Presumably, they have that with all western search or social media orgs.

Elon then spilled the beans about just how powerful the unelected, unaccountable ADL is by revealing how big of a chunk they have already taken out of Twitter’s revenues.

This time, the ADL may have picked a fight with the wrong adversary. Elon Musk has taken off the gloves, and he’s got 4 billion compelling reasons to take them down.

Based on what we’ve heard from advertisers, ADL seems to be responsible for most of our revenue loss.

Giving them maximum benefit of the doubt, I don’t see any scenario where they’re responsible for less than 10% of the value destruction, so ~$4 billion.

Document discovery of all communications between The ADL and advertisers will tell the full story.

Elon is also determined to shine a bright, and very public light on what the ADL is actually doing behind the scenes.

Elon finds the irony of this particular battle, delicious.

Elon also went on a PR blitz against the crooked, anti-American ADL with multiple posts. One was an eye-opening article from Tablet Magazine that delves into the ADL’s questionable actions, aptly titled: “You’re not confused. The ADL Is Becoming as Bad as You Think.”

Elon also posted an enlightening documentary titled “Exploring The Politics Of ‘Defamation'”. It reveals how the movement cloaks itself in the guise of “anti-hate,” much like ANTIFA or BLM does. The left loves naming their radical political groups with indisputable titles. “You’re against ANTIFA? But their name stands for ‘Anti-Fascism.’ What, do you support Hitler or something?”

Lastly, Elon highlighted an article that details how Facebook essentially “caved” to organizations like the ADL. Now, these left-wing groups have free rein and are effectively dictating the rules within Facebook.

So, what is to be done about such a powerful, unaccountable, slanderous organization? Turns out a lawsuit may be in order — a defamation lawsuit. Elon finds the irony of this particular battle, delicious.

We don’t know the details of the law in California, or wherever the ADL is based, but a tortious interference lawsuit might also be interesting.

Brave AI:

Tortious interference, also known as intentional interference with contractual relations, occurs when one person intentionally damages someone else’s contractual or business relationships with a third party, causing economic harm. It can be caused by blackmail, threats, or obstructing someone’s ability to honor a contract by deliberately refusing to deliver necessary goods.2 There are two types of tortious interference: tortious interference with contract and tortious interference with prospective economic advantage. The primary difference between the two is whether a contract exists. A business has a claim for tortious interference with contract when it can show (1) the existence of a valid contract, (2) the defendant’s knowledge of that contract, (3) that the defendant intentionally caused a breach of that contract without justification, and (4) resulting harm.

According to the ADL, nearly every number under the sun is a “symbol of hate.”

When you really examine the entire setup, it resembles a classic “mob shakedown.” Organizations like the ADL dangle “advertising dollars” over these major corporations. Unless these companies give up control and allow the ADL to wield influence, they risk losing advertising revenue. It’s essentially political blackmail in its purest form and Elon recognizes it. He’s geared up to push back, and this might be the first time the ADL has met its match.
