Democrats Demand Fani Willis Charge Jim Jordan for Investigating Corruption

Democrats are outraged that House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) is investigating suspected corruption in the Georgia case against President Donald Trump, and are demanding retaliation.

In response to Jordanโ€™s request for information in the get-Trump case, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis accused the congressman of โ€œobstruction.โ€

Willis blasted Jordan in a letter, claiming that his investigations are โ€œflagrantly at odds with the Constitution.โ€

Willis wrote in part:

โ€œYour attempt to invoke congressional authority to intrude upon and interfere with an active criminal case in Georgia is flagrantly at odds with the Constitution.

โ€œThe defendants in this case have been charged under state law with committing state crimes.

โ€œThere is absolutely no support for Congress purporting to second guess or somehow supervise an ongoing Georgia criminal investigation and prosecution.โ€

The letter, meanwhile, has Democrats foaming at the mouth.

MSNBC legal analyst Glenn Kirschner suggested that Willis bring the obstruction evidence against Jordan in front of a Georgia grand jury.

Kirschner wants Willis to investigate whether Jordan could be charged criminally.

Kirschner shared:

โ€œDA Fani Willis has announced that Jim Jordan is โ€˜interfering inโ€™ & โ€˜obstructingโ€™ the Georgia RICO prosecution of Donald Trump.

โ€œAccordingly, evidence of Jordanโ€™s obstruction should be presented to a GA grand jury to assess if thereโ€™s probable cause to criminally charge Jordan.โ€

Anti-Trump Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) also weighed in on the issue with a rather unsurprising response.

โ€œJim Jordanโ€™s efforts to use the House Judiciary Committee to interfere with the prosecutions of Trump in NY, GA, and by DOJ, are as abusive of the congressional process as they are destructive of the justice system,โ€ said Schiff, who is accused of falsifying evidence during multiple congressional investigations.

โ€œThey are another prime example of the GOPโ€™s endless and bottomless obedience to their corrupt leader.โ€

On Friday, the Fulton County special grand jury report was released.

The report suggests that Willis has been hand-selecting whom to charge in relation to the Georgia election case.

As Slay News reported, the report shows that Senator Linsey Graham as well as former Senators Davide Perdue and Kelly Loeffler were also recommended for charges.

However, they were spared by Willis.

Willis claims that she was only following the recommendations of the grand jury and yet didnโ€™t charge all those who were recommended for charges.

White House correspondent Simon Ateba shared:

โ€œBREAKING โ€“ YOUR REACTION: The Fulton County special grand jury recommended charging Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, along with former GOP Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler of Georgia.

โ€œThe recommendation is seen in a grand jury report released on Friday by the special counsel.

โ€œHowever, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis did not charge Graham or Perdue when she recently indicted former President Donald Trump and 18 co-defendants in an alleged racketeering case.

โ€œThe decision on whether to follow the special grand juryโ€™s recommendations ultimately lies with the district attorney.โ€
