America is witnessing her darkest and most dire days under the unjust, immoral, and bungling reign of the Biden administration. We’re watching in horror as Marxist Democrats censor Americans, imprison political dissidents, and arrest former U.S. Presidents who are currently leading the 2024 race. It’s stunning how fast and far we’ve fallen under this radical, anti-American group of tyrants. Trump was just indicted for an absurd fourth time, this time in Georgia, where now they’re essentially saying Trump’s tweets were “illegal” and free speech is now organized crime. The radical two-bit Georgia D.A. from a corrupt urban county sees this as her “opportunity” to get rid of Trump, and uniparty RINOs are rallying behind her.

So, what options does Trump have as he faces down this tidal wave of Deep State attacks? Well, the folks at the National Constitutional Law Union recently laid out a legal strategy in a memorandum that outlines a theory of presidential immunity. This theory could be applicable to the three indictments against Trump. The crux of their argument rests on a hypothetical scenario: “Would George Washington have faced prosecution if he had committed similar actions, assuming that the relevant laws were in place during his presidency?” If the answer is “no,” then they argue that prosecuting Mr. Trump under these indictments would be improper as well. This viewpoint is rooted in the Bruen and Dobbs decisions, asserting that all constitutional provisions must be interpreted based on their original meaning from 1787-1789.

Gavin Mario Wax, the executive director at NCLU shared the memorandum on X (Twitter) after the fourth indictment against President Trump was just handed down.

NCLU:

Such a powerful executive, who could not be prosecuted while in office, accords with the powers of other national executives on the world stage in 1787-89. Neither the King of England, the King of France, or the Holy Roman Emperor could be prosecuted for non-compliance with a statute. As national sovereigns, these monarchs were all above the law. In fact, the King of England still—to this day—is above the law and immune to any civil or criminal proceedings. While analogizing the powers and immunities of the President to that of the King of England might seem to conflict with the fact that the United States fought the Revolutionary War to free themselves from George I I I ’s executive authority, such a view of U.S. history requires one to forget about the time period between the Revolutionary War and the Constitutional Convention. Indeed, the perceived need for such a national executive was a primary reason why the United States decided to replace the Articles of Confederation with the Constitution.

Something needs to be done, because as it stands now, the US is heading towards a cliff, and once we go over, there’s no coming back. It will be our final demise. Newt Gingrich said it best: “I think we are drifting towards the greatest constitutional crisis since the 1850s and the rise of secession and the Civil War.”

Trending Politics:

Former House Republican Newt Gingrich said Monday that the United States is buckling under the pressure of politically-motivated criminal indictments against former President Donald Trump just as he is beginning to surpass President Joe Biden in the polls.

“I think we are drifting towards the greatest constitutional crisis since the 1850s and the rise of secession and the Civil War. I don’t mean that as hyperbole,” said Gingrich. “So what you’re seeing across the country is a desperate, last-ditch effort by a corrupt machine to destroy their most dangerous opponent in a way which not only breaks the Constitution, destroys the rule of law, and establishes a moment of bitterness which I think will last for a generation or more. This is going to be a horrendous period, and we just need to understand: the people who want to control America and dictate to the rest of us will break any law, lie about any topic, and manipulate the system any way they can.”

We need Republican lawmakers to move beyond pointless tweeting and stupid sound bites. It’s time for them to take real action to prevent these overreaching tyrants from pushing our country to the brink.
