There’s a little something called the “Trump or Bust” phenomenon, and according to fresh data, it’s very real. The GOP establishment needs to pay close attention to it if they don’t want their political futures to go up in smoke — both literally and figuratively. The data reveals a large conservative base that’s all in for Trump. If he’s somehow sidelined from the ballot, many are prepared to either write in his name or abstain from voting altogether, risking the complete and total collapse of the entire GOP party.

Esteemed pollster Richard Baris provides the details on the “Trump or Bust” phenomenon:

Polling data reveals the sheer force of this phenomenon. If DeSantis were to be the nominee, he would actually lose Miami-Dade County to Biden. In contrast, Trump would secure it. Many Hispanics are resolved to write in Trump’s name if it comes down to it.

We looked closely at Richard’s data, and it checks out.

Here are the key takeaways:

  • In Florida, Trump is beating Biden with 45.0% of the vote to Biden’s 36.9%.
  • In Florida, DeSantis is losing to Biden with 37.5% of the vote to the current president’s 37.8%.
  • In the Florida primary, Trump is winning with 56.8% of the vote to DeSantis’ 18.1%.
  • Trump is winning an eye-popping 75.5% of the Cuban vote to DeSantis’ 8.2%.
  • Trump crushes Biden with the Cubans by a margin of 62.1% to 20.0%.
  • DeSantis only beats Biden with Cubans by a margin of 49.6% to 25.0%, with an astounding 13.5% saying they will write in a candidate.

You can find the data here.

The notion that the party has “moved on” from President Trump is pure fantasy, courtesy of the GOP establishment. If anything, his polling numbers are stronger than ever, indicating that the base is solidly behind him. This data suggests that without Trump on the ballot, the GOP would be essentially finished. This would explain why the uniparty is trying so hard to  destroy him— it would allow the  establishment to start over with a clean slate.
