The left alleges that concerned parents are initiating an massive  “book banning” censorship campaign to eliminate perfectly decent reading material from U.S. schools simply because they are racist bigots.

Epoch Times:

Conservatives say the Biden administration is once again cracking down on parental rights by going after schools where parents fought to remove sexually inappropriate books.

The White House released a statement on June 8 announcing the appointment of a new DEO coordinator “to address the growing threat that book bans pose for the civil rights of students.”

The release suggests that schools better put the books back on the shelves or face federal defunding.

“Today, in celebration of Pride Month, the Biden-Harris administration is announcing new actions to protect LGBT communities from attacks on their rights and safety,” the White House release said.

Meanwhile, these are the types of pornographic, degenerate, homosexual books parents are concerned about their kids seeing in schools:

And while the left is busy calling the right “book banners,” there is one word that debunks all of this nonsense (if you can believe it): the “n-word.” Yes, that “n-word.”

The truth of the matter is that progressives have been running around “banning” literary classics which have stood the test of time for generations, simply because they use the “n-word.” That’ right: the left, always cleverly finding ways to ban the classics, has been banning classics that contain the n-word for years. That includes books like “To Kill a Mockingbird,” “Huckleberry Finn,” “Of Mice and Men,” and countless others. School officials have been “soft banning” books with the n-word for quite some time. That’s when they don’t actually remove the books — classics, in this instance — from the library. Instead, they prohibit teachers from including them in their curriculum. This way, they can somehow claim they’re not really “banning books” when they very clearly are.

One mother wrote a blog post about how the “classics” don’t matter when it comes to the n-word. It’s okay to raise mindless dullards, as long as they don’t read the n-word in a book. Rap songs however, are perfectly okay. Does that make sense? No? Doesn’t matter…

The Atlantic Journal Constitutional:

A mother’s protest in Virginia has reignited the persistent debate over whether the ban on the N-word in schools should extend to the books students must read, including such classics as “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,” and “To Kill a Mockingbird.”

The parent in Accomack County Public Schools in Virginia said her biracial son was upset at having to read “Huck Finn,” which uses the racial slur 219 times.

“I keep hearing, ‘This is a classic, This is a classic.’ I understand this is a literature classic, but at some point I feel that children will not or do not truly get the classic part, the literature part, which I’m not disputing. This is great literature. But there are so many racial slurs in there and offensive wording that you can’t get past that. And right now, we are a nation divided as it is…My son can walk outside and be called that name. We don’t need it in the school system,” the mother told the school board last month.

In an article in EdWeek, a prominent magazine for “educators,” one Tyrone C. Howard asserts that the n-word — “classic literature” or not — is the most offensive term globally and its presence should be completely eliminated from all American school campuses. Period.

Ed Week:

Let’s be clear, the n-word is one of the most hateful, inhumane, racist, and useless words in the English vocabulary. Its history is rooted in degradation, enslavement, dehumanization, hate, anti-Black racism, and a belief in the inferiority of Blacks and African-Americans. No student should use the n-word at school ever.

Even when it comes to textbooks and literature that contain the n-word, school personnel need to preemptively inform students that the word should be read out loud as “n word.”

Marshall Libraries:

In response to concerns raised by students and parents, Of Mice and Men, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and To Kill a Mockingbird were temporarily removed from the mandatory reading list of the William S. Hart Union High School District in Santa Clarita (CA). While the books remain in school libraries, teachers can no longer use them as part of their curricula. The district is accepting input students, teachers, and parents as they set criteria for what should be on mandatory reading lists. No timeline has been provided for when the criteria will be revealed or utilized.

And don’t get it twisted: this is not about just a few isolated instances of liberals gone mad. There are countless instances of schools banning classic literature just because it contains the n-word.

Officials have “soft banned” Huckleberry Finn in countless schools across the nation, claiming the “community costs” of reading the book far out weigh the literally benefits. They then proceed to assure us that they aren’t really “censoring” anyone — they’re just listening to the students, and if you believe that hooey, we have a bridge in Brooklyn we’d like to sell you.

The Guardian:

First banned in Concord, Massachusetts, in 1885 as “trash and suitable only for the slums”, today it draws fire over Twain’s frequent use of the word “nigger”, which occurs more than 200 times in the text. In 2011, a publisher released a version of the novel replacing the racial slur with the word “slave” in order to “counter the ‘pre-emptive censorship’ that … has caused these important works of literature to fall off curriculum lists worldwide”.

The latest challenge comes from Friends’ Central School in Montgomery County, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, which reported that the school’s administration decided to pull the novel from its 11th-grade American literature class, although it will remain in the library.

The school’s principal told parents in a letter that “we have all come to the conclusion that the community costs of reading this book in 11th grade outweigh the literary benefits”, saying that some students had found the “use of the N-word” to be “challenging”, and that the school “was not being inclusive”.

The school is guided by Quaker philosophy, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported, and “peaceful resolution of conflicts, seeking truth, and collaboration are key aspects” of its operation.

“I do not believe that we’re censoring,” the school’s principal said. “I really do believe that this is an opportunity for the school to step forward and listen to the students.”

Soft bans are occurring all over America, perpetuated by the left, who claim that “banning books” is a mortal sin. One thing’s for sure: the left is very good at finding clever “workarounds” for their shameless censorship pushes. They implement these non-ban “bans” or simply label whatever they disapprove of as “disinformation” and then attack it with the full power of the U.S. government.

Newsweek:

Schools in Burbank will no longer be able to teach a handful of classic novels, including Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird, following concerns raised by parents over racism.

Middle and high school English teachers in the Burbank Unified School District received the news during a virtual meeting on September 9.

Until further notice, teachers in the area will not be able to include on their curriculum Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird, Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, Theodore Taylor’s The Cay and Mildred D. Taylor’s Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry.

The left wants you to believe that a child reading the n-word in a book is far worse than an illustrated “how to” manual that coaches minors on performing child sex acts and pornography. (WARNING: EXTREMELY GRAPHIC)

According to the left, American moms who don’t want their children subjected to perversion and grooming are now “despicable animals.”

Democrats believe that a child reading the n-word in a school book is more dangerous than viewing gay pornography, learning “gender confusion,” and being groomed for mutilation surgeries where children’s private parts are lobbed off in the name of a far-left political movement.

Image

However, when you look at who’s supposedly running our country and his behavior around kids, all of this “child grooming” from the left starts to make perfectly twisted sense.

Image

The leftist notion that banning the n-word, which is used daily by blacks, is acceptable, while removing gay child pornography from public school libraries is forbidden, doesn’t sit well with sensible parents. This is a fight we’re winning and we must continue to fight.
