In case you haven’t heard, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is now attempting to jail Trump-supporting grandparents in her state. Michigan’s left-wing attorney general is bringing felony charges against sixteen Trump supporters for presenting “alternative electors” in the 2020 election.

On Tuesday, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced that 16 people would be criminally charged for alleged alternative elector efforts in the wake of the 2020 presidential election.

According to the attorney general’s office, the 16 face eight felony charges each including election law forgery, conspiracy, and uttering and publishing.

“As part of this orchestrated plan, we allege that 16 Michigan residents met covertly in the basement of Michigan GOP Headquarters and knowingly and of their own volition signed their names to multiple certificates stating that they were: ‘the duly elected and qualified electors for President and Vice President of the United States of America for the State of Michigan,” said Nessel in an announcement. “That was a lie.”

Trump-hating Michigan lesbian AG Dana Nessel announced the charges in an eerie North Korea-style press conference.

Raheem Kassam from the National Pulse shared a tweet showing the ages of the Americans who the anti-Trump AG arrested.  He stated, “They’re criminalizing being pro-Trump now.”

Here’s a closeup of the list of Michiganders who were arrested. Just look at the ages of most of these Americans. One man is 82-years-old, for crying out loud. Whitmer wants to lock up grandparents for the rest of their lives. Sickening.

Michigan was “ground zero” for a lot of very suspicious activity on election night. But if you say that out loud, you could be censored, canceled, arrested, or labeled a “Q-kook” for the rest of your life.

But now, there’s a “plot twist” in the case. Breitbart reporter Joel Pollak points out that John Kennedy used alternate electors back in 1960 in Hawaii. Trump was simply doing what Democrats have done before, with no problem whatsoever.

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced forgery charges Tuesday against 16 alternate electors for President Donald Trump in 2020, despite existing precedent — by Democrats — in using alternate electors.

Nessel, a highly partisan figure who urged President Joe Biden to close a crucial local oil pipeline, and once joked that she wanted “a drag queen for every school,” announced the charges, which are the first of their kind.

The Trump campaign created several slates of alternate electors. This was not an attempt to create “fake” or “fraudulent” electors to fool authorities, but rather to provide a legal remedy in the event the election results were overturned. The fear was that if a court, or a state legislature, invalidated the Electoral College vote of Michigan or another closely contested state, those votes would not be awarded to Trump without electors.

Democrats themselves used this strategy in the 1960 election, a close race between Vice President Richard Nixon (R) and Sen. John Kennedy (D-MA).

Nixon’s Hawaii electors met and cast their three votes in an official ceremony. But nearby, Kennedy’s three elector nominees gathered and signed their own certificates, delivering them to Washington as though Kennedy had won the state.

Until now, it’s been unclear whether the 1960 case of the Kennedy electors was truly analogous to 2020 Trump electors. But the unofficial Democratic certificates, obtained by POLITICO from the non-digitized files of the National Archives, show the three Kennedy electors signed documents that are remarkably similar to the false Trump-elector certificates.

Instead, the Hawaii Democrats used virtually the same language that the false [sic] Trump electors in five states used in their effort to upend the 2020 race. In those documents — from Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, Wisconsin and Georgia — the pro-Turmp [sic] activists described themselves as “duly elected and qualified.” In two other states, Pennsylvania and New Mexico, Trump allies submitted alternative elector slates but included a caveat: their votes would only be counted if ongoing court battles broke in favor of Trump.

In the 1960 case, a state judge said that the Democrats’ effort to create an alternative slate of electors was “a key step that preserved their ability to be counted,” Politico noted. Ultimately, a recount showed that Kennedy had actually won the state, and the unofficial Democratic electors were then certified by the state. Both lists of electors were sent to Congress; Nixon, presiding over the Senate, accepted the Democratic slate and his defeat.

But don’t be fooled, there’s a very calculated reason why Dems are pulling this move, and it has absolutely nothing to do with “justice” or “secure elections” and everything to do with the next round of charges from Biden’s immoral and unjust DOJ.

The so-called “fake electors” case is said to be central to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation of Trump and his campaign. Former President Trump said Tuesday he had been informed he was a target of the inquiry.

However, you don’t even have to go back to 1960 to find Dems “conspiring” to use electors to their benefit.

Liberal celebrities like Martin Sheen, Moby, and others released a video begging electors to be so-called “heroes” by voting against President-elect Donald Trump. Their argument was that “our founding fathers built the Electoral College to safeguard the American people from the dangers of a demagogue.” Mind you, 2016 was probably our only fair election on record.

Democrats have transformed our justice system into a powerful tool for election manipulation. This is election interference unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. This regime will shatter the lives of innocent American grandparents just to maintain power. But their unholy, corrupt actions will have consequences. All these sham prosecutions and abuse of our justice system will have long lasting impacts on our nation. We’re essentially being torn down from the inside, all because a bunch of elected, installed and unelected politicians and bureaucrats don’t want an “outsider” to regain power.
