Stuart Parker, an environmentalist, recently took to Twitter for a scathing critique against his progressive pals. In essence, his tweet was less an indictment of the left and more a recognition of the right’s greater “sanity” and “forgiveness.” Stuart, deeply concerned about the transgender movement like many Americans, is voicing his objections and has come to realize what right-wingers have long understood: the left is hostile, ruthless, and aggressive. He’s found that the very people he once considered “comrades” and “friends” are now seeking to destroy his life because he’s speaking out against the trans movement — an experience he’s never had with conservatives who fully acknowledge his work on climate issues.
Stuart may be at a loss, and dumfounded, but it actually makes a lot of sense when you think about it. Research repeatedly shows that right-wingers are “happier” than left-wingers. Why? The latest study suggests it’s largely based on feelings of “victimization” and economic factors. Studies like this have also shown that left-wing women are really unhappy, frequently grappling with mental health issues. But really, you don’t need a formal research study to point that out, right?
In this research, we drew on system-justification theory and the notion that conservative ideology serves a palliative function to explain why conservatives are happier than liberals. Specifically, in three studies using nationally representative data from the United States and nine additional countries, we found that right-wing (vs. left-wing) orientation is indeed associated with greater subjective well-being and that the relation between political orientation and subjective well-being is mediated by the rationalization of inequality. In our third study, we found that increasing economic inequality (as measured by the Gini index) from 1974 to 2004 has exacerbated the happiness gap between liberals and conservatives, apparently because conservatives (more than liberals) possess an ideological buffer against the negative hedonic effects of economic inequality.
The left tends to be athetistic, while the right tends to be Christian, which has a lot to do with which side shows more mercy and real tolerance — not the fake DEI-style tolerance.
Stuart, a man who just wants to live his life and speak his mind in a country where that’s supposed to be celebrated, took to Twitter where he shared what’s happening to him now that he’s a target of the radical “genderwang” trans mob. Here’s what Stuart said in his tweet:
In my 36 years as a climate activist, no conservative who has disagreed with me on climate has ever tried to destroy my career, my home, my relationship, my friendships, my social media accounts, my radio shows, my podcasts or my recreational activities.
People working in the fossil fuel industry who feel my efforts are destroying their employment prospects, people who think climate change is a hoax, a fraud I am helping to perpetrate, people who falsely believe I receive money from shadowy European interests: none of these people have felt entitled to go after my ability to earn a living or have a romantic partner.
In my 3 years of opposing genderwang, dozens, likely hundreds of progressives, many of whom I considered comrades or friends, have felt it totally appropriate to engage in unapologetic concerted public efforts to destroy these things, to even come after my fortnightly tabletop Runequest games and try to stop those.
In a social partition of contemporary North America, I would rather be in a conservative society, even if it were significantly more on fire, because I wouldn’t feel unsafe disagreeing with my neighbours.
In my 36 years as a climate activist, no conservative who has disagreed with me on climate has ever tried to destroy my career, my home, my relationship, my friendships, my social media accounts, my radio shows, my podcasts or my recreational activities.

Genderwang: what a great and hilarious word.
Stuart is witnessing the effects of the liberal “group think” dynamic firsthand. If you dare to veer from the collective hive mindset or step out of line, the consequences can be severe, potentially costing you everything you’ve worked for. It’s a tactic they use often to ensure everyone remains “in line,” marching to the same beat.
Looking at the comments on Stuart’s tweet, you’ll spot a ton of conservatives offering him support, good vibes, and even prayers. It’s no shock to us right-wingers – we’re known for being nice, sometimes too nice for our own good. But hey, there’s something to be said about being a righteous warrior, not a hateful one. And it seems like Stuart’s picking up on that. Like our fellow conservatives on Twitter, we’re sending good thoughts Stuart’s way and hoping he stays safe.
