Anonymous Twitter users are a national treasure, and thankfully, Elon Musk realizes this and has vowed to protect online anonymity. This is vital especially now when so many on the left are doxing and “canceling” people just because they have a different point of view on politics and social issues.
This platform will protect anons for this reason particularly
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) July 9, 2023
This is great news from Elon, and the timing is perfect. Democrats are quite a spectacle to behold. They relentlessly push for these horrific policies and laws, only to later whine about the consequences and demand that we rectify the very mess they created. It’s astonishing how they fail to see that they are the architects of their own failures. This smug elitism runs deep within our government. Our “rulers” have no grasp or regard for our needs or feelings. This was very apparent during a Twitter exchange between California Rep Khanna and an anon Twitter user. Rep Khanna was proving yet again how elites push bad policies that hurt the country and then take zero responsibility for the destruction. Luckily, there was an anon Twitter user standing by to savagely school him.
Here’s what Rep Khanna said in his tweet on manufacturing:
The fact that we do not have enough conventional artillery to send Ukraine should be a wake up call. Most of the top 15 steel producers now are Chinese & we don’t have a single one. The US urgently needs a strategy to become a manufacturing superpower. https://t.co/JIMSYA1gC8

And here is the brilliant and crushing response from an anon who goes by the name “Caroline Lion.”
Well, it takes about 4-5 years to build a factory in the United States under the best circumstances; got to thank the EPA and all its little rules for a good chunk of that.
Oh, and you need coal to fire up the steel furnaces and the Democrats have been waging war on America’s coal industry for over a decade.
And you need railroads, roads and a fleet of trucks and trains to supply the mills and haul out the finished product. The Democrats have been waging war on both trucking and railroad industries as well.
And you need cheap and reliable electricity to power the plants. Solar and wind will not cut it. That means either coal, natural gas, hydroelectric and possibly nuclear; all power sources the Democrats have waged war on.
Pretty much everything needed to make this kind of industry a profitable reality in the United States has been attacked by the policies of the Democrats and the Federal government for over three decades.

In the war of information, not all soldiers need to wear a name tag. Some of our most effective warriors are ragtag anons who operate under the radar, like a stealth bomber.
Sadly, Elon Musk’s tweet promising to protect anonymity has only served to trigger Dr. Jordan Peterson into another ranty tweet about the dangers of “anonymous troll demons”.
Anonymity
Enables
The Dark Tetrad

They will take us all downIt's a big mistake sir
With all due respect https://t.co/tDmp1RldpY— Dr Jordan B Peterson (@jordanbpeterson) July 10, 2023
This is a bugaboo that Peterson has been on about forever. He calls them “not human” and from “hell”, and the weird part is we can’t even tell if he’s being hyperbolic or not.
This. Separate the anonymous troll demons from the real people ? pic.twitter.com/dG8alnySdD

Perhaps because he’s Canadian, Dr. Peterson cannot fully grasp the concept of freedom of expression, despite the fact he’s being targeted by his own government for his political opinions.
Psychologist Jordan Peterson could lose license if he refuses social media 're-education' https://t.co/9nueeGcCV0 via @nypost

If we were amateur pseudo-psychologists, we might make a witty quip about “Stockholm syndrome.”
Here’s a collection of Peterson’s weird tweets freaking out over anonymity.
"I'm only anonymous so I can continue to do good." Excuse my skepticism, sunshine. It's just not likely that you're that good…
— Dr Jordan B Peterson (@jordanbpeterson) December 7, 2022
Let @prageru advertise on Twitter. Reinstate Trump. Consign the anonymous narcissists and psychopaths to troll hell. And get some rest, good sir. https://t.co/zN1Ukpigfv

Have at 'er, trolls. Tell me how brave and tough you are, from behind your anonymous covers (your virtual mother's skirts). 99.9% cowards and trolls; 0.1% virtuous whistle-blowers. Which are you, in truth? https://t.co/pbG7neMn55
— Dr Jordan B Peterson (@jordanbpeterson) January 30, 2023
"I don't hate the Jews. I just love their enemies:" every serpentine, moralizing anti-Semitic leftist. "I don't hate the Jews. I'm just telling the truth about their insidious conspiratorial influence:" every two-bit right-wing tinfoil-hatted envy-inspired troll demon.

By failing to separate the anonymous cowardly troll demons from real people in the comments section @youtube and other SM platforms are enabling sadistic Machiavellian psychopaths and narcissists
— Dr Jordan B Peterson (@jordanbpeterson) December 7, 2022
Don't allow the anonymous troll-demons to post with the real verified people @elonmusk. Put them in their own hell, along with others like them: LOL LULZ BRO BRUH hyper-users are narcissistic, Machiavellian, psychopathic and sadistic. Really: https://t.co/l4SLpzUwmn https://t.co/RWTYUL276Z

The irony of Dr. Jordan Peterson, who spent many months hospitalized for a brutal addiction to benzos, calling someone else narcissistic and a “troll demon” was not lost on documentarian influencer Mike Cernovich.
Jordan. You wear make-up, custom suits, and never met a microphone you didn’t like.
How is your attention-seeking lifestyle less “narcissistic” than internet anons?
You’re an incoherent babbling baby bitch boy. https://t.co/oKJrXJl7Y0
— Cernovich (@Cernovich) July 11, 2023
Revolver’s Darren Beattie put it pithily:
Peterson's crusade against internet anonymity in this era of persecution, as it were, is bizarre and off putting https://t.co/ubKxo6EYpJ

Blind leading the blind?
For Jordan Peterson, eliminating anons is about kneecapping competitors.
Dr. Peterson aspires to be the one-eyed philosopher king in the land of the blind. https://t.co/tAz2jTj2H4

Of course the right to anonymity is as American as apple pie.
The Electronic Freedom Foundation (emphasis ours):
Many people don’t want the things they say online to be connected with their offline identities. They may be concerned about political or economic retribution, harassment, or even threats to their lives. Whistleblowers report news that companies and governments would prefer to suppress; human rights workers struggle against repressive governments; parents try to create a safe way for children to explore; victims of domestic violence attempt to rebuild their lives where abusers cannot follow.
Instead of using their true names to communicate, these people choose to speak using pseudonyms (assumed names) or anonymously (no name at all). For these individuals and the organizations that support them, secure anonymity is critical. It may literally save lives.
Anonymous communications have an important place in our political and social discourse. The Supreme Court has ruled repeatedly that the right to anonymous free speech is protected by the First Amendment. A frequently cited 1995 Supreme Court ruling in McIntyre v. Ohio Elections Commission reads:
Anonymity is a shield from the tyranny of the majority. . . . It thus exemplifies the purpose behind the Bill of Rights and of the First Amendment in particular: to protect unpopular individuals from retaliation . . . at the hand of an intolerant society.
The tradition of anonymous speech is older than the United States. Founders Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay wrote the Federalist Papers under the pseudonym “Publius ” and “the Federal Farmer” spoke up in rebuttal. The US Supreme Court has repeatedly recognized rights to speak anonymously derived from the First Amendment.
The right to anonymous speech is also protected well beyond the printed page. Thus in 2002 the Supreme Court struck down a law requiring proselytizers to register their true names with the Mayor’s office before going door-to-door.
These long-standing rights to anonymity and the protections it affords are critically important for the Internet. As the Supreme Court has recognized the Internet offers a new and powerful democratic forum in which anyone can become a “pamphleteer” or “a town crier with a voice that resonates farther than it could from any soapbox.”
As we mentioned above, Dr. Jordan Peterson happens to be Canadian.
