Tucker Carlson is reportedly in the process of quietly making some very big moves. Behind the scenes, he’s said to be gathering resources to launch his own media enterprise. While we’re not sure of the exact scale of this venture, given Tucker’s ambitious nature and his worth in terms of ratings, it’s quite possible that this could end up being a direct competitor to Fox News, potentially changing the entire media landscape.

You’re likely aware that Tucker, who’s still bound by contract with Fox, has found a workaround by airing his show on Twitter. But this recent report hints the Twitter move is just the tip of the iceberg – maybe even a “place holder” while Tucker reportedly works on his “real plans” behind the scenes.

Radar Online:

Tucker Carlson is raising funds for a new media venture following his sudden departure from Fox News earlier this year, has learned.

In the latest development to come after Carlson was unceremoniously axed from the Rupert Murdoch-owned conservative news network in April, sources familiar with Carlson’s plans claimed the fired Fox News host is “raising capital” to launch his own media company.

That is the revelation shared by Puck News on Wednesday.

“It’s increasingly possible that the Twitter show is a top-of-funnel play for other things Tucker may soon have cooking,” the outlet’s Dylan Byers reported, referring to Carlson’s newly launched Twitter show.

Tucker’s grand vision extends well beyond the Twitterverse.

“In fact,” Byers added, “I am told he is raising capital to launch a new company that may yet prove more influential.”

Byers also noted that Carlson would “certainly benefit from an incongruous number of ultra-wealthy conservative media investors and a scant (though growing) number of opportunities” and that a new media company could “serve as a paradigm for a generation of TV news personalities with huge followings and fandoms who remain marooned to their desks amid shrinking audiences.”

The report also states that those former Tucker team members who got the axe from Fox are set to reunite with their old boss for this big new venture. The band’s getting back together and hitting the road again, folks. Definitely some good news.
