A 30-year-old Bud Light commercial, which wouldn’t stand a chance in today’s climate, has resurfaced at the perfect moment to demonstrate how “woke” the beer company has become.

The 1993 ad is called ‘Ladies Night,” and it features four guys dressed as girls sneaking into a bar for some Bud Light on “Ladies Night.”

The irony lies in the fact that these four individuals, clearly men with their beards and muscular builds, were once seen as a humorous gag three decades ago. However, in today’s society, we are expected to treat them as real women and ignore the obvious disparities.

The ad is funny, and we love the bartender, who gives the group a raised-eyebrow glance and amusingly says to them, “Tonight is ladies night, and there’s a special on Bud Light,” and the guys giggle in these overly silly, girly-like voices.

This ad brings us back to a time when America had a good sense of humor. People could take a joke, and we all enjoyed having a playful laugh at one another without taking offense. It reminds us of the days when harmless laughter brought us together.

Jimmy Dore and Kurt Metzger’s commentary is downright hilarious:

Jimmy and Kurt had a field day with this GLAAD statement:

An OBVIOUS man dressing as a woman? You don’t say! Gee, wouldn’t that be wild if that happened today?

In the words of Jimmy Dore, “Who wrote these commercials, a prophet?”

Just picture the outrage if this ad aired today — making fun of drag queens and treating dressing up as women as a “joke” could probably land you in prison these day…

It would definitely trigger the motley trans mob into a violent rage. It’s safe to say that Bud Light would never release such an ad in 2023, and that’s part of their problem.
