Richard Baris, who runs the People’s Pundit, is considered one of the best and most accurate pollsters out there. When he speaks about polls, people listen. His latest Big Data Poll is packed with juicy tidbits, and lots of good news for President Trump.

The question asked is: If the Republican primary were held today, who would you vote for?

The results are stunning.

Trump scored 61 percent and DeSantis is in second with 17 percent (down from a high of 31). Pence is in third place with 5 percent, and Vivek has passed establishment bore Nikki Haley for fourth at 5 percent, despite the all of the latter’s name recognition.

This graphic from the Big Data Poll reveals how the base is lukewarm about voting for DeSantis in a general election. Trump is much stronger with the GOP’s two strongest demographics; the white-working class (WWC) and evangelicals.

Right after the Big Data Poll came out, a second poll was released that corroborated Baris’ findings.

In this Morning Consult poll, President Trump scores 60 percent and Ron DeSantis scores 19 percent — almost the exact same numbers that Baris found.

President Trump also took the lead over Biden for the first time in mainstream media polls, which aligns with Richard Baris’ polling results.

In the above video, Baris explains that Trump’s base continues to have a strong sense of trust and confidence in him. On the other hand, DeSantis seems to be struggling to connect with the MAGA base, and his collapse has been catastrophic, as shown in the Morning Consult polling:

Meanwhile, Nikki Haley remains predictably uninspiring.
