GOP establishment advocate Ben Shapiro, the founder of Daily Wire, was previously known as a #NeverTrumper until 2020 when he reluctantly announced his decision to vote for Trump. There are rumors suggesting that Shapiro may have voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election.
Prior to the 2016 election, Shapiro wrote an op-ed on his website, Daily Wire, in which he sarcastically recounted how Laura Ingraham, a Trump supporter, convinced him not to vote for Trump.
Unfortunately, that article has been deleted from the Daily Wire website. However, we were able to find an old Facebook post by Shapiro where he shared the link.
Clearly, Ben doesn’t want people reading that op-ed, because this is what you see when you click on the link in his Facebook post.
In May of 2016, Ben Shapiro published this tweet, cementing his “no vote” for President Trump.
We all have a line beyond which we will not go. Donald Trump is far past my line.

It’s unclear if the rumors are true that Ben voted for Hillary, but clearly, Ben knew what was at stake for the country and was fine with Hillary winning over Trump.
So, it’s no big surprise that Ben Shapiro isn’t supporting President Trump in 2024. Ben is a staunch Ron DeSantis supporter and he’s using his massive platform to “campaign” for DeSantis by hurling attacks at President Trump.
The problem is, Ben’s attacks on Trump are backfiring – mainly because Ben has a very nasty habit of talking out of both sides of his mouth and going which ever way the establishment wind blows.
For example, Ben’s latest attacks on Trump center around how he didn’t fire everyone in the FBI when he had the chance, completely ignoring the tense political atmosphere at the time thanks to the Russia hoax. And to make matters even more convoluted, back in 2018, Ben Shapiro actually told Bill Maher that Trump should be “impeached” if he dared to fire special counsel Robert Mueller.
BEN SHAPIRO TODAY: “Trump could have fired everyone in the FBI and didn’t. Nominate DeSantis!”

It’s difficult to take someone like Ben Shapiro seriously when he speaks from both ends of the spectrum and deletes his op-eds when they no longer serve his agenda.
