Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s run for the presidency has been a hot topic of discussion among political insiders and the American people. RFK Jr. is a very compelling character who has a powerful following among those who appreciate his willingness to take on the establishment.

According to a recent Fox News poll, RFK Jr. is actually performing better against Joe Biden than Ron DeSantis is against Donald Trump in hypothetical matchups. This is a very interesting development. It suggests that RFK Jr.’s message and platform may be resonating with a wider audience than many thought. It also shines a bright light on the fact that  DeSantis is struggling to connect with the conservative base. The new poll also shows DeSantis tumbling downward for the second straight month.

Fox News:

Former President Donald Trump maintains his advantage in the 2024 Republican presidential nomination race, as support for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis falls for the second month in a row, according to a new Fox News survey. In addition, President Biden bests his challengers in the survey’s first test of a Democratic nomination contest.

Among Republican primary voters, Trump leads with 53% support, followed by DeSantis at 21%, Mike Pence at 6%, Nikki Haley at 4%, Vivek Ramaswamy at 3%, and Tim Scott and Liz Cheney at 2% each. Greg Abbott, Chris Christie, Larry Elder, Chris Sununu and Glenn Youngkin garner 1% apiece. Asa Hutchinson, Kristi Noem and Francis Suarez get less than 1%.

Since February, Trump is up 10 points, while DeSantis is down 7.

And endorsement-wise, DeSantis is far behind President Trump. Many say it’s because he hasn’t officially declared his candidacy yet.

Perhaps he better hurry before there’s nobody left to endorse him. All of this spells bad news for DeSantis, who is  struggling to hit his political stride on the national stage. When asked about his sagging poll numbers, DeSantis had this to say:

Take a look at these interesting numbers—percentage-wise, RFK Jr. is out performing Ron DeSantis, who has yet to announce is run for the White House, but is widely presumed to be running in 2024.

Many believe RFK Jr.’s 2024 candidacy could have a significant impact on the race, but they’re not so sure about DeSantis’s ability to crawl out from Trump’s shadow and establish himself as a force to be reckoned with.
