When we decided to sit down and watch this clip of Katie Porter getting owned by Bill Maher, we thought we’d have a few laughs and call it a day. We certainly didn’t expect to uncover that Porter is a big, fat fraud. But hey, sometimes that’s what happens when you pull on a few loose threads.
The former Iowa farm girl and current California congresswoman appeared on Bill Maher’s HBO show with Piers Morgan. Katie is the type of woman who uses her mouth to bully her way through discussions and debates.
It’s not all that surprising once you become familiar with the court records regarding the abuse she put her ex-husband through, including allegedly pouring a pot of boiling hot potatoes on his head.
The former husband of Rep. Katie Porter said the California Democrat frequently abused him verbally and threw “toys, books and other objects” at him during their marriage — even pouring scalding-hot mashed potatoes on his head during a fight, according to divorce records.
However, in the clip below, Katie finds herself in a word pickle that she can’t wriggle her way out of — even with a sassy attitude and eager embrace of profanities. Bill Maher is no hero, that’s for sure, but even a tried and true liberal like him couldn’t stomach what Katie was trying to sell.
He had to give her the boiling potatoes treatment—metaphorically speaking, of course:

Katie also found herself in a jam while trying to smear college swimmer Riley Gaines, who is actually fighting for the integrity of women’s sports. Katie was outnumbered as Piers and Bill both defended women, while Katie defended hulking men.
How progressive.
Self-styled soccer mom and US Senate hopeful Rep. Katie Porter smears Riley Gaines while Bill Maher and Piers Morgan actually standup for women’s sports.

One interesting thing we noticed about Katie is that she appears to use profanity in a strategic way in order to sound more “working class.” It’s almost as if she feels like she’s part of the middle-class simply because she says the f-word.
Watch:
Notice how Katie lies in that clip, claiming that “bat sh*t crazy fu**ers with guns” killed police officers on January 6th. That entire sentence is a bald-face lie that has been covered ad nauseum by Revolver, and yet the audience clapped like seals anyway while Piers Morgan nodded his head in agreement.
Pathetic.
Needless to say, this whole episode piqued our interest in this foul-mouthed husky supposedly “blue-collar” woman. So, we looked a bit deeper into Katie Porter and discovered is that the working class persona she presents is a complete and total fraud.
Katie sells herself as this “average/middle class” blue collar gal from a farm in Iowa. However, her net worth and blue chip resume say otherwise. Katie may have grown up on a farm eons ago, but she’s an Ivy League millionaire gal through and through.
Rep. Katie Porter (D., Calif.), a self-styled working-class champion who has criticized the number of millionaires in Congress, has up to nearly $3 million in assets, filings show.
According to her most recent financial disclosure report, Porter has between $1.2 million and $2.8 million in assets. Porter’s leadership PAC, Truth to Power, recently solicited donations with a statement decrying the fact that millionaires comprise “a shockingly large portion of our federal government.”
Sure, Katie grew up in Iowa, but she kissed the cows goodbye along time ago and made a beeline for tony Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, followed by Yale, Harvard Law, Capitol Hill, and finally, swanky Orange County, California.
It’s a pretty impressive resume, which is why we don’t understand why she feels the need to swear like a sailor or a truck driver, or pretend like she just came back from milking the cows.
Harvard and Yale-educated Katie went on to clerk for a U.S. Appellate Judge and then became a powerhouse attorney who worked for the biggest corporate law firm in Oregon. Later she became a tenured law professor and received a political appointment from then-California Attorney General Kamala Harris before jumping into politics.
And Katie’s political aspirations keep growing. She’s done with the House, and now has her sights set on the U.S. Senate. The first millionaire “working-class single soccer mom” in the Senate, perhaps?
Obviously, Katie was never some tortured working-class lady struggling to get by. However, to her credit, Katie has successfully convinced many people that she’s just one of the gals… the type of lady who buys “value-brand” tater tots for her kids because the name-brand stuff is too pricey for her budget.
“I’m at least aware, as I put on my shoes every day, that they are not like everyone else’s,” Porter told Elle. “I just want to scream at people like, ‘My life does not look like yours!’ ”
And she’s pulled off this scheme in a more clever manner than most politicians who try it. Katie’s out there swearing up a storm and stepping in dog crap just to prove what a blue-collar trooper she is.
Porter wasn’t even fazed by stepping in “dog poo” during her interview.
“I just think there are a lot of my colleagues who would never admit that they ever — in their whole life—stepped in dog poo,” she said. “And it’s like, Who hasn’t? I don’t think we get anywhere trying to separate ourselves from the American people.”
She get’s an “A” for effort and creativity on that spin job.
Katie likes to tout the fact she’s a single mom (and so does the mainstream media), but nobody ever likes to point out how she found herself in that position.
Matthew Hoffman, who filed for divorce from Porter in 2013, said in a request for a restraining order dated April 30 of that year that he was “routinely” called a “f—ing idiot” and “f—ing incompetent” by his rage-prone spouse, who also shattered a glass coffee pot on their kitchen counter in March 2012 when she felt their house wasn’t clean enough.
“She would not let me have a cell phone because she said, ‘You’re too f—ing dumb to operate it,’” Hoffman said of Porter, 49, who has also been accused of ridiculing former members of her staff.
“When she gets angry, she will claw and scratch her arms and then say to me ‘Look what you made me do!’” Hoffman also said in the records, first obtained by DailyMail.com. “She regularly says that I am a bad parent in front of the kids … Recently the children began spitting at me and throwing their food at me, calling me ‘bad daddy.’”
In 2006, Hoffman said, Porter took issue with how Hoffman was preparing mashed potatoes for dinner, asking him: “Can’t you read the f—ing instructions!” Then, her ex-husband said, Porter raised a “ceramic bowl of steaming hot potatoes and dumped it on my head, burning my scalp.”
In response to Hoffman’s allegations, Porter, then a professor of bankruptcy law at the University of California, Irvine, in Orange County, claimed in her own request for a restraining order that her ex ordered her out of the house on April 24, 2013, and called her a “dumb bitch,” a “despicable person” and “f—ing evil” before adding that she should “rot in hell.”
…
Porter and Hoffman attended anger management counseling in 2009, according to court records.
Not exactly Hallmark Channel material. And the title of her memoir is… quite something:
Porter’s recently published memoir, “I Swear: Politics Is Messier Than My Minivan,” sheds light on the challenges many working mothers face.
It’s hard to understand how such a smart, successful, millionaire woman gets such a big chip on her shoulder, but Katie somehow pulls it off quite well. She’s even taken to complaining about the furniture on Capitol Hill — it’s not good enough for her, you see:
… Porter finds the Capitol lacking in gender equality and says it remains what she calls “a male institution.”
“All the furniture is too big for women to sit in … and I’m not a particularly petite woman,” says Porter, as she explains her feet don’t reach the floor in the traditional leather office chairs. She also says the official Congressional House pin, which has become a security feature to identify true House members, is a lapel pin, “which works great if you’re a man, and you’re wearing a jacket.”
Katie is an elite, book smart woman who created great financial success for herself. However, everything comes at a cost. Lately, as she runs for Senate, she’s been twisting herself into a pretzel trying to rationalize the left’s kooky ideology. As the Bill Maher interview showed, she routinely ends up stumbling because nothing on the left actually makes sense.
Imagine a left-wing Harvard/Yale-educated woman trying to explain how a man can now give birth and how J6 was a cop-killing insurrection spree. It’s hilarious to listen to such a credentialed academic try to make sense of the senseless.
Talk about an exercise in sophism.
That’s what progressive politics has done to these highly educated elites — it’s forced them to abandon what they know is right and true in order to toe a crazy political line.
Not even this highly-educated lawyer can make the left’s talking points palatable. No wonder Katie seems to be so miserable and angry.
