The Democrats have found themselves in a pickle, thanks to 89-year-old Dianne Feinstein, who refuses to resign even though she’s in the hospital and unable to fulfill the duties of her job.

Back in February, Feinstein announced she would not seek reelection in 2024. However, that’s not helping Dems today; as her absence is causing a major backup of Biden’s nominees. The Hill:

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) announced on Wednesday that her return to work in Washington has been delayed due to ongoing health complications and called on the Senate to appoint a temporary replacement for her on the Judiciary Committee.

Her announcement came hours after Reps. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) and Dean Phillips (D-Minn.) called for her to resign from the chamber.

Right now, Dems have 14  judicial nominees who are “pending.” They’ve had  hearings, but no votes, thanks to Feinstein’s absence. Chuck Schumer says he’ll honor Dianne’s wishes and find a Dem senator who can “fill in” for her. However, that would require “senate approval,” and this presents the GOP with a golden opportunity to flex their political muscle. The GOP can “pounce” and use the Democrat’s weakness as a weapon against them, for a refreshing change of pace.

This is a way in which the GOP can fight back against the weaponization of the judiciary system by the Democrats. It would be a strong message of protest after the arrest of President Trump and the guilty verdict in the Douglass Mackey “meme trial” case.

Will the GOP make this common-sense bold move?

Probably not. After all, we have more than nine RINOS in the senate, so the chances of them taking a stand and putting up a fight is slim to none. However, this move it what should be happening, and if we elected real fighters, it’d be a no-brainer.
