The “Twitter Files” took center stage in the DC Swamp on Thursday afternoon, thanks to a hearing that was held by the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the “Weaponization of the Federal Government.”
Thursday’s focus was the “Twitter Files.”
Republican leaders asked two journalists who released Twitter Files to appear before the panel as witnesses to discuss the controversial relationship between our government and Big Tech.
Journalist’s Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger’s riviting testimony helped to further validate GOP accusations that tech companies make censorship decisions based on politcal bias against conservatives.
Mr. Taibbi’s opening statement was powerful and set the tone for the day, highlighting the twisted “system” that was developed by Big Tech to basically cater to the censorship whims of our Regime government.
Matt Taibbi's opening statement on the Twitter Files and the censorship industrial complex:
"Twitter, Facebook, Google, and other companies developed a formal system for taking in moderation requests from every corner of government, from the FBI, DHS, HHS, DOD, the Global… https://t.co/WiLeCYXmvx pic.twitter.com/BbMoSYNiR2

In his dramatic opening statement, Mr. Sehellenberger described Big Tech’s plans as if they were a plot straight out of a dystopian horror novel.
Michael Shellenberger's opening statement on the Twitter Files and the censorship industrial complex:
"The censorship industrial complex combines established methods of psychological manipulation some developed by the US military during the global war on terror, with highly… https://t.co/0Ybusz95q9 pic.twitter.com/cjP4cAvabu

Both men also exposed how the TRUE stories of vaccine injuries were also censored.

Needless to say, all of this “truth” and “exposure” were too much for Democrats. They were enraged by the accusations, so they did what they do best — viciously attacked Mr. Taibbi and Mr. Shellenberger.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz kicked things off. She was so livid over the exposure that she attacked Mr. Taibbi’s professional integrity and then went on to beclown herself further by suggesting both of these highly-respected journalists were now Republican stooges.
In which @DWStweets immediately regrets picking a fight w/ @mtaibbi and @ShellenbergerMD about the #TwitterFiles after beclowning herself via a psychotic rant about how Taibbi & Shellenberger have been compromised by Republicans and @elonmusk.

The Democrat attacks continued with a “bizarre threesome” accusation and the very sad realization that Rep. Garcia doesn’t understand how the internet works.
Rep. Sylvia Garcia on @ShellenbergerMD, @bariweiss, & @ElonMusk:
“So you’re in this as a threesome?”

However, some of the most vicious attacks came from Delegate Stacey Plaskett of the US Virgin Islands, who claimed the two men were not actually real journalists.
Ironically, Ms. Plaskett could be called a “fake congresswoman” since she cannot even vote on the House floor.

Plaskett also asked the men to reveal their sources, and then lied about it shortly afterward.
Roll the tape…
“I never asked for sources!’” @StaceyPlaskett
……..rollllll the tape?

Ms. Plaskett didn’t last long once Jim Jordan got a hold of her flimsy argument. He shredded it like a brick of soft cheese.
Jim Jordan was on fire today. He didn't let the Democrats get away with their normal BS.

The two men stood their ground and didn’t waiver.
Professor Turley even took note of their professionalism in a tweet:
Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger have done an incredible job today despite the personal attacks from Democratic members. We all owe them a debt of gratitude from putting themselves in harm's way in this age of rage.
— Jonathan Turley (@JonathanTurley) March 9, 2023
But they weren’t done. The two reporters also called out a newly uncovered collusive relationship between Twitter and Stanford that revolved around — what else — censorship:
?BREAKING: Twitter and Stanford accused of running a disinformation campaign to hide the truth about vaccines
Matt Taibbi (@mtaibbi): "We found just yesterday a tweet from the Virality Project from @Stanford, which is partnered with a number of government agencies and @twitter,… https://t.co/HkO7npCfhv pic.twitter.com/Ir215NE2DP

However, sadly, all of this top-notch reporting and sharing of facts with the American people comes at a price.
Matt Gaetz asked the two journalists how they felt about being “targeted” by Joe Biden’s FTC and the federal government:

Hopefully, this hearing will be an eye opener for Americans who haven’t heard about the “Twitter Files” or the censorship issues, thanks to our mainstream media who refuses to cover it.
For the first time in a very long while, we were able to witness investigative journalism.
That’s something our propaganda media doesn’t participate in anymore.
Watching Mr. Taibbi and Mr. Shellenberger actually do “journalism” today was a refreshing change of pace.
Now, we need the GOP to step up and take action against Big Tech.
