Astronomy buffs and political junkies alike have a reason to find this day remarkable
CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — On Tuesday, we will witness the last total lunar eclipse — also called a Blood Moon — until March 14, 2025. But, that’s not the only exciting thing about it.
“This is the first time in U.S. history that we’re enjoying an Election Day Total Lunar Eclipse. It’s never happened before and won’t happen again until 2394,” according to Almanac.com. [The Hill]
Here’s a great image of the Blood Moon
My finished shot from this morning's total lunar eclipse. This image was captured by using two telescopes, one to capture intricate detail on the lunar surface, and one to capture the rich tones cast by Earth's shadow across the disc. Go ahead, zoom in on it! pic.twitter.com/XpXcqihiId
