It’s anyone’s guess what the next chapter holds for Joe Biden’s flailing campaign. After a debate performance that was nothing short of disastrous—a display that didn’t just hint at a “bad night” but plunged headfirst into “dementia” territory—it left a majority of Americans with their jaws on the floor. Now, you might wonder, “How could anyone be shocked by Biden’s performance?” Especially since his cognitive struggles have been on full display on social media since 2019. But this moment really shows the powerful influence legacy media still has over many Americans. Time and again, the media has whitewashed Biden’s image, portraying him as the “warm, grandfatherly” statesman with a compassionate touch and a steady hand on the wheel of foreign policy, economics, and the total American experience. What happened last Thursday peeled back that carefully crafted facade. The media’s mask slipped off, revealing the truth about Biden’s true capabilities—or lack thereof. It was a tried and true Humpty Dumpty moment—the great fall—where no spin or scramble by all the king’s horses and all the king’s men could piece together the shattered image that lay on the floor of that debate stage. The media was forced into a corner and had to change gears in order to salvage the last shreds of their credibility. Now, it’s a showdown—Joe Biden and his DNC versus an Obama-controlled mainstream media. The burning question is this: who will come out on top?

Many believe they—meaning the people controlling the White House—want Joe Biden out.

Meanwhile, Jill Biden, giving Woodrow Wilson’s wife a serious run for her money, has firmly dug in her heels, showing no signs of stepping down from her perch.

Biden is trying to figure out how to tamp down Democratic anxiety after last week’s disastrous debate performance.

Hunter Biden was the strongest voice in the Biden family, encouraging Joe Biden to resist pressure to drop out.

Once again, they’re calling for heads to roll, all to shield Joe Biden from any real accountability. It’s a predictable playbook: create a scapegoat, divert the blame, and keep the old guy going.

It’s astonishing—this family clamors for heads to roll when the “Big Guy” embarrasses himself on the debate stage, yet remains dead silent about the tragic loss of 13 Americans in Afghanistan or the full-blown invasion at the US border. They are a selfish and disgusting family.

But the Bidens aren’t the only ones making moves on the political chessboard. According to Tucker Carlson, Obama is back at the drawing board with a clear plan: to oust Joe and Jill Biden. Tucker dropped a bombshell, citing an “unusually trusted source,” revealing Obama’s determined push to take down Mr. and Mrs. Biden.

Tucker Carlson:

From an unusually good source: Obama’s tweet supporting Joe Biden was disingenuous. In private, Obama is telling people Biden can’t win, and he is therefore in favor of an open convention. Obama will not say whom he supports, nor as of yesterday afternoon had he met personally with Biden to deliver the message. Relations between the Obamas and the Bidens have never been warm. At times they’ve been hostile. But recently they’ve deteriorated further, mostly due to Jill Biden. In the hours and days after the debate, she kept her husband cloistered away from anyone who might convince him to drop out. Jill Biden is the driving force behind her husband’s reelection campaign, just as she was in 2020, when other members of the family (including Biden’s sister Val) considered him too impaired to run. The next generation of potential Democratic candidates understands all this as an opportunity and they’re circling, particularly Gretchen Whitmer, who is promoting herself aggressively.

Tucker followed up that with two more explosive posts.

The first:

Biden is done. Bet on it. Too many prominent Democrats have suggested he’s brain damaged. They can’t walk that back. They have to remove him, and they will. The only question is when. If they’re smart, they’ll do it immediately. If Kamala’s going to be the nominee, she might as well be the president first. That leaves the question of Trump, and his sentencing on July 11. Biden’s collapse makes this a much more perilous moment than it was. At this point Trump is not just the Republican candidate, but effectively the presumptive president. If you’re going to put him in jail, it had better be for a very serious crime that everyone agrees he committed. Otherwise you risk destroying the system completely and forever. We’re in legitimate danger. Democrats need to pull back.

The second:

All this nonsense you read about how “only Biden can make the decision to leave” is just so absurd. That’s not how the Democratic Party works. No individual is more important than the collective. That’s the whole point of the party. And in Biden’s specific case, he’s got no constituency in Washington. Yes, Ron Klain and 85-year-old Ted Kaufman benefit directly from his presidency, but it’s a small group. The rest of the city has no loyalty to Biden. They don’t care about him; they’ve never taken him seriously. Any president works for them as long as he’s a Democrat. It’s never personal with these people because the individual doesn’t matter.

It’s no wonder Obama’s hitting the panic button—he’s staring down 2024 with his greatest nemesis, President Trump, and his candidate is an Alzheimer’s patient. Tucker’s claims are explosive, ring true, and should not be taken lightly, and he may well be right. Tucker’s third point is especially salient: when the Party wants to get something done, they don’t let rules, regulations, bylaws, or individual personalities stand in the way. Just ask Bernie Sanders if you doubt that. However, despite the desperate situation and despite the considerable ability of the Party to impose its will, it seems like Obama might just be stuck with ol’ Joe.

That’s at least the position of Darren Beattie and Revolver, although we admit that anything could happen. We detailed why in a previous piece.

Revolver:

While the left is panicking, many on the right have embraced the conspiratorial theory that the Democrats set Joe Biden up for this debate performance in a sneaky way to usher him out of the presidential race. To be sure, anything is possible. Our position at the moment is more simple: the Democrats simply screwed up by not getting rid of Biden a year ago, and now they are stuck and are unable (or at least extremely unlikely) to be able to get rid of him. It is difficult for us to appreciate, but many of the Democrat elite actually believe the propaganda of the mainstream media, and out-of-touch donors and the like probably believed the media’s lies, downplaying Biden’s cognitive decline. For once, the Dems may have gotten screwed by their own propaganda machinery!

Ironically, a strong midterm performance may have ended up devastating the Democrats’ chances of a presidential win. Even if the Democrats desperately want to get rid of Biden, there are a number of severe pitfalls that would make this exceedingly difficult. Revolver News’ Darren Beattie outlined a number of them in a tweet, largely repeating many of the points made in a must-read Revolver piece on the same issue.

There’s a lot of talk about replacing Biden—and nothing is impossible. But the mechanics of it at this stage are far more involved and difficult than people imagine. Also consider the following factors

1) Biden does not want to give up power. With mounting legal troubles for his family, he’s likely more interested in clinging to the pardon power than ever

2) If you read the Revolver piece, it goes into detail as to how the DNC procedures for removing him are not simple or easy—Biden has his own loyalists stacked in there. There are also ballot issues at this late stage in the game that are considerable

3) While many on the left finally realize Biden is a major liability, it really is too little too late. Even aside from the difficulties above, the Democrat elite would have to arrive at a consensus replacement. Who would that be? Kamala is a non-starter—they all hate her. So they need to come to a consensus candidate who isn’t kamala harris and deal with the fallout to passing over a woman of color heir apparent. Yet another aggravation on top of Israel-Palestine that already has the base incensed

4) Even if they come up with a consensus candidate and are able to persuade Biden to leave, there’s the problem of media preparation. The media is an amazing consensus manufacturing machine but such things require TIME and RUNWAY. That’s the problem with it being too late—think of how much preparation went into conditioning the public mind for covid and everything that came after. This late in the game there’s just not enough time and runway for the consensus machine to kick into gear effectively.

This is not to say that there under no circumstances will be an effort to replace Biden. There could very well be, and it is more likely now than it was a week ago, though the likelihood of them actually replacing him is far less than people imagine even now. All of the steps and hurdles involved in replacing him would be uncertain and have their own risks, and give the public the impression of chaos that has to be weighed against the negative public impression of Biden’s cognitive condition.

The Dems Need to Replace Biden, But They Can’t…

As unpredictable as things are right now, one thing’s for sure: no matter whether the Dems stick with Bumbling Joe or force him to bow out, they’re facing a storm as 2024 approaches.

President Trump senses the Dems are floundering, and he’s keeping the pressure dialed up. Just this morning, he unleashed a brutal takedown on Truth Social, not giving Joe a moment’s peace.
