Well, good triumphed over evil in an Iowa case where a Christian vet tore down a satanic altar at the state capitol. Iowa prosecutors dropped the absurd ‘hate crime’ felony charges against Michael Cassidy in exchange for a misdemeanor plea. That means he won’t face prison time. It’s outrageous that he was ever at risk of ‘prison time’ for vandalizing a demonic statue. But that’s the sad state of affairs in today’s unjust USA.

This is what happened back on December 14th.

Des Moines Register:

Michael Cassidy, a former Republican congressional candidate, was charged with a felony under under Iowa’s hate crime statute for destroying the display, which depicted the horned deity Baphomet.

Cassidy, 36, later told a conservative website that “my conscience is held captive to the word of God, not to bureaucratic decree. And so I acted.”

The vandalism, which occurred Dec. 14, came after intensive media coverage and consternation from political leaders over the display, which was installed under rules permitting religious groups to reserve display space in the Capitol.

Cassidy was set to stand trial June 3 after the court denied his motion to dismiss the case, but on Friday morning, his attorney filed a plea of guilty on his behalf. According to the filing, Cassidy admits to third-degree criminal mischief, but as an aggravated misdemeanor, without the hate crime enhancement.

He admits in writing that he “partially dismantled a display in the Iowa State Capitol Building, without a right/license to do so,” and that the damage caused was greater than $750.

Well, in the end, God defeated Satan once again, and Michael will not be charged with a felony.

Michael took to X, where he enjoyed a well-deserved victory lap.

Michael Cassidy:

Not today, Satan. Pleased to announce the Iowa DA just dropped their absurd felony hate crime charge and instead offered a deferred judgement misdemeanor (a fine, no jail time, nothing permanent on my record), which I accepted. Many thanks to my family, my lawyers, my community, and the many Christians who have supported us morally and financially over the past several months. When Christians stick together, we can, and we will, win. I’ll have more to say in the weeks ahead, in the meantime please use this Memorial Day Weekend to remember and honor those who gave their lives in service of our nation. Thank you.

In truth, Michael saved the day when he tore down that disgusting statue. Theoretically, Michael shouldn’t have faced any charges at all, since that monstrosity should never have been there in the first place. This is just another way for heathens and heretics to mock tradition and Christianity.

Stunts like this are reminiscent of how the LGBTQ crowd likes to walk into Christian bakeries and order cakes for ‘same-sex’ weddings. Interestingly, these same activists never seem to challenge the Muslim religion. We’re thrilled that Michael won’t have to go through yet another kangaroo trial in the US and face prison time, like the January 6 political prisoners, President Trump, and Douglass Mackey.

However, we’re deeply concerned and saddened that our once highly respected justice system has been hijacked and weaponized by nefarious activists on a mission to implement their radical political agendas.
