Right now, there’s quite the buzz in conservative circles about Speaker Johnson, with a heated debate on whether we were actually better off with McCarthy leading the charge. A lot of folks are pretty frustrated and taking their anger out on lawmakers like Matt Gaetz. Why? Because Gaetz held McCarthy accountable to his promises—which McCarthy didn’t keep—and that led to him being ousted. When Mike Johnson burst onto the speaker stage, there was a glimmer of hope, thanks to his past pro-MAGA stances. But that optimism was quickly crushed. In what seemed like record time, Johnson shifted from being a MAGA hopeful to a Deep State puppet. The big question is: how and why did this happen? Most people reckon he was “captured” by the CIA through a series of private, well-coordinated briefings—a tactic used on most, if not all, of our elected officials in some form or another.

The bottom line is clear: the new speaker has been compromised and is a literal disaster for our cause. Johnson might as well be the best Democrat Speaker we’ve ever seen, given how things are turning out.

But this debate—arguing that McCarthy was better and blaming Gaetz for holding that liar accountable—is pointless and silly. A lot of this noise comes from establishment-leaning folks. These are the same people who reluctantly support President Trump while holding their noses and who clearly have an axe to grind with the America First movement. Here are a couple of examples.

Peter Heinlein:

No one is more responsible for the dysfunction in the GOP controlled House than Matt Gaetz.

Kevin McCarthy was vastly superior to Mike Johnson, and Matt Gaetz teamed up with every Dem Congressman to oust him.

And it was all because McCarthy wouldn’t quash an investigation into his activities with an underage girl.

Gaetz should be gone from the GOP, and all the influencers who cheered on his motion to vacate McCarthy should be dismissed as unserious people.

And:

As usual, these types are missing the bigger picture. What they don’t see is how having a “Speaker Johnson” has inadvertently busted open how the CIA captures lawmakers, revealing to the American people just how compromised nearly all of our lawmakers truly are. That’s the message from powerhouse independent journalist Emerald Robinson, who, as usual, gets it.

Yes, Johnson has clearly been “captured.” But let’s be real: the next person in line is likely to be “captured” as well. So, what’s our game plan for when that inevitably happens? We need a strategy that goes beyond just swapping out faces and blaming fighters like Gaetz for holding liars accountable. Sadly, in this era where our government is under heavy CIA influence, the identity of the Speaker almost seems irrelevant. It’s likely that 99 percent of the GOP aren’t quite the people—or politicians—they claim to be when they’re stumping for your vote. Sure, many might start their journey with noble intentions, but the Swamp has a way of swallowing most of them whole, and they find themselves unable to stand up to the Deep State’s overwhelming pressure. Sean Davis, editor at The Federalist, put the Johnson situation in the best light without blaming some of our best and only real fighters:

The most enraging aspect of Mike Johnson’s border betrayal is his refusal to even acknowledge his myriad promises to secure the border first before funneling money overseas. He broke his word and now wants to pretend he never promised anything.

Matt Gaetz didn’t make him make that promise and then break it. Marjorie Taylor Greene didn’t force Mike Johnson to promise to secure the border first. Thomas Massie didn’t make Mike Johnson promise to secure the border before funding Ukraine. Chip Roy and Eli Crane and Bob Good and the House Freedom Caucus didn’t force Mike Johnson to promise to secure the border first before sending money overseas.

Mike Johnson made that promise. He made it deliberately and he made it repeatedly. And now, instead of owning it and explaining why he changed his mind and broke his promise, he’s lashing out at anyone who dares point out that he broke his word.

He’s not a leader. He’s a disgrace, and he should resign. This country deserves better than a dishonest border betrayer who cares more about plaudits from CNN and Joe Biden and Chuck Schumer than he cares about the well-being of his own citizens.

Here’s the harsh reality: The United States is a one-party republic, quietly governed by a “uni-party” regime. This setup is becoming more obvious to everyone as this cabal scrambles to cling to power. Whoever sits in the Speaker’s chair eventually ends up playing by the uniparty’s rules—that’s just how our system has evolved. We, the people, have lost focus on what’s important, and in the meantime, a massive network of unelected bureaucrats and elites has quietly taken the reins. And if you think the average Joe or Jane from a small district in Kansas can outmaneuver this entrenched and powerful network, then you’re not fully understanding what we’re truly up against.

Now, this isn’t a message of defeat. We can and will overcome these ghouls, but it’s going to take a lot more than just debating between McCarthy and Johnson, two ends of the same turd. That’s a distraction. We have bigger fish to fry, and the better we understand their goals and what we’re really up against, the quicker we can come up with a plan that will strike at their core.
